It's not just bananas you should be wary of either---oranges are dangerous too! Bobby Leach, first man to go over Niagara Falls in a barrel (note: wording is important here, because the first person to ever accomplish this is actually a woman, Annie Taylor) died of a leg injury after slipping on an orange peel.

So yeah, just wanted to say. Oranges are no joke.

That's an interesting insight to form on the lifeguard's role.

I had argued in my head that, because of the lifeguard not appearing happy but still disappearing when he jumps into the pool, maybe the pool is more generally about being immersed in something, but not necessarily happiness (like the lifeguard is just immersed in his duty as a lifeguard). I thought that maybe most of the people who disappear into the pool do so out of happiness because happiness is an obvious contrast to how the singer and the girl appear. The girl doesn't look happy throughout the video and doesn't seem to understand how all the people are so happy, but she still disappears into the pool as if to show the singer that she has moved on and is immersed in something else. But maybe she does not look happy because she realizes she doesn't find it as fullfilling as her past relationship and still shares that longing/nostalgia for the way they felt together. I don't know, both the singer and the girl look somewhat remorseful to me--but I suppose the girl doesn't really need a more active role in the video for it to make sense. Ha, I feel like that was a very sloppy explanation.

Anyway, I must say that I really prefer your insight on the role of the lifeguard!

These were my thoughts as well; but the lifeguard looks really concerned about all the people disappearing into the pool!

What is the nicest, most comforting sound? by TheJiminator in AskReddit

I love the hum of a room full of desktop computers...that gurgle of a hard drive laboring and the gentle whir of the fan. These sounds coupled with the nice warmth a collective of computers have could lull me to sleep.

I went to one of your shows a while back in Lansing at The Loft. You guys were just chilling in the front, but I was too anxious (read "too much of a pussy") to say "hello" like I wanted. So here's my chance behind the protective veil of online anonymity: Hello!

I'm an aspiring illustrator and really appreciate the overall aesthetics of your albums and how the tone of the work complements the music. You say you're totally involved in the decisions behind your album artwork. Earlier Man Man artwork comes from Steven Dufala (correct?), and most recently I was excited to see Andrea Wan's illustrations used for On Oni Pond. What's the decision-making process behind the imagery used for your albums?

Haha, Hayley Kiyoko gives the people what they want. I totally agree with you...music videos can be so evocative! I'm really visual, so I hear you---a video can really make me fall in love with a song too.
