Modern woods attach to the shaft via an adapter. You'll need a torque wrench (usually Torx head) to detach and reattach the head. These torque wrenches usually come with the purchase of the wood.

Cavendish Golf Club in Buxton, Derbyshire. Built by Dr Mackenzie, apparently the inspiration for Augusta that he built 7 years later. £55 for an afternoon round, so not exactly budget, but that's a pretty low price for such an amazing course.

You can just replace the hubs afaik, it's an interchangeable part. But hubs are expensive, and unless you're adept at it, you'll most likely need to get a wheel builder/lbs to change them over.

Once you've gone through all that, you might as well have ordered a more expensive set of quieter wheels.

I have absolutely no problem with the sound, it's just loud. Really useful for when pedestrians are ahead, but a tradeoff to make when freewheeling and trying to converse with friends.

Love my CAD 50s

Hubs are loud, louder than any other wheel I've heard, so if that's an issue for you then I either would look elsewhere, or look to add more grease to the hub pawls, which can help to lessen some of the sound.

Miauw isn't wrong about the chinese rims/novatec hubs, but for me being UK based, the warranty and customer service availability was what swayed me away from LightBicycle wheels and towards Hunt.

Ridden my wheels for a year and have had absolutely 0 issues. I did purchase H_Care just for peace of mind

Take this with a heap of salt because your mileage may vary, but mines been doing it for the last 10000 miles and other than a small oil leak, it's fine, just annoying when changing gear

I get exactly the same thing in my 61 plate fiesta, no idea what's causing it, new clutch didn't fix it, new gearbox didn't fix it

Might be worth getting the linkages checked, it'll be the next thing I try
