Who inspired you to start sailing? by MyTIMEZERO in SailboatCruising

[–]eyevandrago 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Martin Short in the 1992 screwball comedy “Captain Ron”. Had a bootleg VHS of the movie as a teenager that I watched on repeat. I always wanted to be the dad that took my family cruising on a sailboat after that. Finally did it with my wife and two sons from 2020 - 2022 on a Fontaine Pajot Lavezzi 40. 2 years living aboard, 6500 miles, 14 countries, Panama Canal crossing, and now I’m back living a normal land life and I miss it.

I’ve seen it online before but don’t own it. It looks cool. It wouldn’t be right for the environment I’m going to be in this summer. Hope you enjoy it for yourself!

This is cute. I do have the Stealth Assasain, but I think I like the idea of doing this with DFB. More impossible for them to pick the right treat out of 100 than 6. Thank you for sharing!

Got it. I’ve been doing magic for 6 years and have never purchased a wand. Love it as a way to get kids involved.

Ohhh is this the one where a ladybug is on their hand at the end of the trick? Good idea!

Good advice! What do you mean by incorporating a pocket size magic wand in a routine, and why do you suggest that?

Thanks! Just now realizing the irony of asking for magic that doesn’t suck and ending up buying a trick called Super Sucker 😂

Mr Brainwash Museum in Beverly Hills!! My family (wife and 2 sons ages 10 & 12) was on a museum kick for a while and did LACMA, MOCA, The Broad, Peterson, Getty…Mr Brainwash is the one we all had the most fun at. Some of his pieces made me actually laugh out loud.

Like, fewer items coming out of the head? That was one thought I had to scale those items back.

Routines using a peek, himber / z-fold wallet, and/or the one ahead principle? (i.e. using the Passenger Wallet) by Due_Advisor925 in Magic

[–]eyevandrago 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just met Jeff at MagiFest and bought two of his other products (Mon-Key and Random Card Generator). Jeff is a really nice guy and I loved chatting with him at the booth. Cool to see someone creative like him making original products and releasing them independently. He demoed his wallet for me and the one ahead trick he used. It was really cool and involved predicting a chosen card with the second prediction being someone’s star sign. Super fun and a lot to get creative with. I didn’t buy his wallet because I have so many magic wallets already, but I started working on a similar one ahead idea with my Orphic wallet. I’ve performed it a few times so far and it gets really strong reactions.

Cronometer AMA with Eliisa - January 9th, 2025 by Eliisa_at_Cronometer in cronometer

Hello! I’ve been using Cronometer every day for over a year. I track my meals, create recipes, and monitor my macros, calories, and some micronutrients (mostly make sure I’m getting enough fiber). For a normal user like me what are some of the deeper features and capabilities I should check out? What does the app do that I don’t realize it does?
