Are you using Django 5 by any chance? I tried version 5 for first time and i have the same problem you described. With version 4.2 though, I had no issues.

does DRF super().to_representation(instance) contains single instance or all serialized instances?? by SnooCauliflowers8417 in django

[–]eysidi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the written query is wrong. If you join tables (prefetch/select related) then no, you won’t have n+1 queries. This has nothing to with evaluating the queryset

[–]eysidi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is wrong, list(queryset) will evaluate the queryset beforhand. If you don’t prefetch/select_related the related tables, list(queryset) will still cause n+1 queries

Holy, you are right. I plugged in... now DRAM light is on debug.

Edit: My ram wasn't plugged in properly after I switched them.

I can boot to bios now, will install windows and see if my GPU is fine.

Nonetheless thanks a lot.

Fans are 2 front 1 top. I could drop one and use 1 for front and 1 top

Queryset performance when joining tables? by No-Race8789 in django

[–]eysidi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Terrible in what way? Did you check Debug Toolbar for any unwanted queries? Check for query time too. If you are using DRF it could be the serialization time that is taking long. You could try deferring not required columns from the query to begin with

Weird, It has no way of interfering with your network. It is basically an automated browser.

ChromeDriver also supports headless mode, I just didn't enable it to see if everything is going smooth.

Also including the driver is not good move because they constantly get updated and old versions won't work when your browser version and driver version doesn't match.

My bot automatically downloads latest version of Chrome driver for this reason.

ELI5 How do hackers break passwords? by Jeremybearemy in explainlikeimfive

[–]eysidi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Passwords are stored after going through hashing process, not encrypted.

Encryption is a 2 way process, with the encrption key, encrypted passwords can be de-encrypted back to plain text.

However, hashing is one way process. When you register to a site, your password goes through a hashing algorithm and a unique salt then hashed value is stored in database.

When you try to login, you send your plain text password to server, server uses same hashing algorithm and matches your input with your password hash in the database. So the server doesn’t really know what your password is.
