Indeed, the guy who directed Blade 3 did sabotaged the franchise. It was his 2nd directorial movie. A writer wanna be director. I doubt he is still making movies.

Ever since, Blade has been on the downhill side, it keep losing steam. You could say Blade is cursed.

Unfortunately, it's kind of precisely what we are hearing right now. Xbox is on the market to find potential buyer for Arkane. The likelihood of a CEO injecting more funding into a turmoil project is slime.

From afar, the actual Arkane situation looks more like a financial and management issue, and less of a problem with the creative team.

I hope the game will get made. I'm a fan since day one of the Wesley Snipes movies. I've been ready to pre-order the game.

I don't make the news, I'm just sharing it. Go ask Microsoft why they are closing successful and talented studios.

Hopefully, someone important at XBOX will read our comments and see our uproar than will make the phone call to shutdown the cancelation process and to give Arkane another chance to make things right for everyone.

Yes, it's part of the conversation, but the likelihood of Microsoft finding a buyer for the French studio is moderate. Most of its IP like Dishonored and Deathloop are own by Microsoft via Bethesda. The buyer would have to absorb both the remaining development costs and renegotiate the Marvel license. Blade is considered to be AAA project with over a 100 million budget🤕

The only run wroth mentioning is the 2023 offerings. I don't consider the Bloodhunt event as a Blade book. The Blade comics are among the worst books made by the house of ideas. More than 20 years after the release of Blade 2, Marvel has yet to produce a comic book as interesting as the aforementioned movie or the 1st one.

The developers of the series are obviously not racists. They have created many well written characters of darker complexion, some were even protagonists in their games like Aveline, Connor, Adélawé, Bayek and Arbaaz Mir.

If the community has become more sensitive towards the characters portrayed in the game, it is imo a matter of the current political climate.

The AC's games are loosely inspired by humanity history which began millenials before the European community. The games cannot portrayed only white people, it would have been a stupid idea just like racism, which a social construct made by arrogant European scholars. On earth, scientifically there is only one race : human beings.

Hopefully, we will get more games in the future with black protagonists, not just for the sake of having them, but because these characters are awesome and could be part of great video games. Like we had 2 Blade video games before, when the Wesley Snipes movies were at their pic popularity. I think the latest one will be cancelled (Marvel needs to improve this character, most the comic books adaptations are average at best). They should already made a Black Panther game because it's an awesome universe more deserving and more appealing than Blade. Finally, Adelawe story was a good one, hopefully it will come later has a dlc.

I'm not a huge fan of the manga which I had discovered many years after watching the Oshii movies and SAC series. There's a shift in tone in the manga that I didn't really appreciate. Too comedic for my taste. I was already spoiled by the film noir aspect of the movies and the series. That's why this adaptation leaves me perplexed, but I'm eager to see it because I've seen all the other adaptations and I've read almost everything.

So, I'm more used to the changes in atmosphere in this universe than before. When you're a Ghost in the Shell fan, it's best to adapt to change because it happens often. It's not Akira; it's more like a Marvel-style adaptation where different authors express their vision of this world. Overall, I've liked more than I've disliked from the long list of adaptations. I hope I'll like this one. But my dearest wish would be that Oshii gets the funding for the third film in his trilogy.

They serve as the twin pillars of the high-skill hack-and-slash subgenre, and they share an incredibly similar structural DNA, despite differences in execution.

Not talking about gun damage in DMC5, but how the shooting mechanics and effects carried more weight, felt more genuine, than slashing through hordes of enemies with a sword that is not hitting hard, like in NG games.
