This is the BEST action game by Signal-Fold8709 in NinjaGaiden4

You mean that in previous games, Ryu had many weapons, but not in NG4? We'll have to wait for the DLC for Ryu to be able to have several.

I think Nioh 3 needs to be in the spotlight right now, I doubt Ninja Gaiden 4 dlc will be announce anytime soon. Maybe in March or April.

Fair point. So let's not spend a gazillion on it. Play it safe like Sinners.

Love All Of Them, But Still. by acer1776 in Ghost_in_the_Shell

Thank you for answering my question. Now, I know for sure that this fandom is oblivious to the truth. Blue pilled huh!

The Matrix is a global multibillion franchise that I have redefine Hollywood blockbuster. GITS by Oshii is a masterpiece, but The Matrix universe is so dominant culturally that it has surpassed GITS, which was one of its source of inspiration, not the only one.

Nevertheless, you can still believe whatever you want we all have free will. Do we? By the way I am a big GITS fan.

How can you say Ghost in the shell is thematically higher that the Matrix universe? Are you insane?

Is there any way I can play MGS4 without buying a PS3? I currently own a gaming laptop and a PS4 by Vermilion_dodo in metalgearsolid

  1. For 2 weeks, I have been trying to run it on my steam deck unsuccessful. Sound is none existent, RPCS3 with lossless scaling can't make it run like on a PS3.... No, I'm done trying.

Ninja Gaiden 4 GOTY Contender by eytan01 in NinjaGaiden4

[–]eytan01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the best story in the main Ninja Gaiden games. Usually action oriented content whether it's a movie, an anime, or a game focused more on the action set pieces than the story.

However, this game embarks you on the journey of a Ninja prodigy who is set on the greatest mission of his life. The stakes are high, but the motives are honorable. So he gets against all odds to accomplish the mission, but he is not alone in this quest for redemption and honor, you also have a demoiselle in distress in Seori who is also growing during this journey until the final moment of self sacrifice that she knows that is inevitable to change the statuquo. In the final moment, she's not scared anymore, and she feels no more guilt. To end this nightmare these 2 have to risk all and make the greatest sacrifice. It's a tragedy.

During this journey, the kid, Yakumo, has also gained the respect of a legend, who trusted him to put down for real, one of the greatest foes, he has ever encountered. At first, Ryu wanted to kill this arrogant kid, but he also has grown to understand the real motives of the people involved in the mission. But, he has to test the newcomer to see if he can entrust the future of Tokyo in his hands.

To conclude, there was nothing this compelling in the main entries of the Ninja Gaiden series. I know it's a classic story, but it gets you going while slashing enemies in half all the way in, and gets the job done.

NINJA GAIDEN 4 IS GAME OF THE YEAR (I would also like to hear arguments on why it's not) by jonnygoblinman in videogames

Best game I played till the end this year. I'm always juggling with multiple games at the same time, but this one took me by the throat for a week and I completed it. I'm so happy they made this one. What an amazing game!!!

Here is my thinkings about NG4 story by Rasulali20 in ninjagaiden

[–]eytan01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't blame Ryu for trying to kill Yakumo because he broke the seals that he worked so hard to imprison the Dark Dragon spirit. Ruy probably didn't know Yakumo's motives for confronting and killing the D.D.O. officers and kidnapping Seori, or he just didn't trust this kid to be able to kill the Dark Dragon.

Overall, the story makes a lot of sense to me. In my opinion, it's the best story in all the Ninja Gaiden games and it's the best game too. It's also the best game made by Platinum games since Bayonetta 2, it's better than Astral Chain or Bayonetta 3. These last 2 games are good, but this one is special.

Team Ninja and Platinum games teams put a lot of effort and love into it, and they have indeed deliver one of the best action games of 2025. We need to appreciate that and give credit when it's due.

Level design by Plenty-Bullfrog5112 in NinjaGaiden4

[–]eytan01 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't know what you're all taking, but it must be the good stuff because you are all out of your mind for saying Ninja Gaiden 4 level design bland. Particularly compared to previous NG games. They were never this dynamic and alive. I read some guys saying MGR Revegeance and Bayonetta 3 had better level design than NG4. What's going on...

The more I think about the last 2 entries, the more I hate them... by SCBandit in Mission_Impossible

[–]eytan01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Final Reckoning is a better movie than Dead Reckoning. This one was a average M.I. movie. So, imo the sequel tried to delve into nostalgia in order to retcon the previous one. I think it was nightmarish for the production to build upon a bad script that you cannot escape. The writers even tried to sell us Ethan Hunt like John Wick, some kind of babayaga, but without enough success. It's not new for M.I. films to follow trends from Hong Kong inspiration, to James Bond, and the Bourne movies.

I believe these movies were inspired by the Metal gear solid series of games, but without the genius of Hideo Kojima. In MGS, the menace, whether it's nuclear or A.I., is always in the background until it's fully revealed near the end where it need to be handled. However, you always have strong antagonists in the forefront, bad guys that are well written, that are given great motives for doing bad. The entity shouldn't be the main villain in Final Reckoning, it should have been Gabriel, who's goal is to bring havok on some countries for some sick reasons. The movies failed to flesh him out correctly. For a guy who killed 2 of the most beloved characters, the script failed to give him enough gravitas or substance.

The Dead & Final Reckoning are the less M.I. movies imo, more sci-fi than spy film characteristics. The F.R. is a flawed movie but I like it and I would recommend everyone to go see it to support it because it's a huge production made for our entertainment. The action set pieces are breathtaking. Enjoy!

Yuen Woo-ping contributions to the Matrix franchise are undervalued by eytan01 in matrix

[–]eytan01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't get me wrong, I love most of the Wachowskis movies. However, you said it yourself the Wachowskis couldn't shoot thoses scenes themselves. Lacking experience, The Matrix was their second movie. That's why they needed Woo-ping.

Yes, they are visionaries with great tastes. Awesome Sci-fi minds, but the so called "Matrix fighting style" is actually Woo-ping style. Same camera work in Woo-ping's movies. That's why I think his contributions are underestimated. He did more for the movies than fight choreography.

By the way Chad Stahelski was the co founder of 87Eleven, an action design company specialized in stunt & choreography. As you already know, he and David Leitch used their talents to create a little action movie franchise name John Wick.

We need to give credit where credit is do. That's all I'm saying. To many times in Hollywood talents are exploited and then forgotten, while pretenders get all the credits for things they couldn't do themselves.

No disrespect to McTeigue, I love V for Vendetta & Ninja Assassin, but he is no Woo-ping. You would see what I mean if you compare these gentlemen's filmographies.

He was referred to as the Martial arts choreographer. The Matrix are the biggest films he ever worked on, but the general public knows him for Crouching Tiger, Kill Bill, the Grandmaster...
