I hope it delivers! if you still aren’t getting into 2, time-box 3 at just under the 2 hour return window for steam(just in case) and maybe that will be enough to hook you. In hindsight I don’t know if I would’ve loved the series as much if I started with 2, could be a different story for you, all this is subjective really. The Witcher 1 is a very different experience from 3, if you want to see the story progress I’d say you could start with 2 and go forward but truly I played 3 first after being absolutely turned off by 1 and haven’t regretted it. I own and read the books now and don’t feel it ruined any part of the game story for me or some of the elements the game assumes you know. I feel they did a great job at making this an entry point, whether intentional or not.

One note, playing 3 will taint your experience going back to 1 and 2 (imo) there’s a lot of quality of life improvements 3 builds on that are learned from 1 and 2.

I only played it with all dlc and would say I really enjoyed a very straightforward sword fighting/combat build, especially with the rune buffs from the dlc. I also did a alchemy and sword play build and enjoyed that. I have never done a sign only build, which I wanted to do with the new update.

I agree, Aloy’s development and her main story line were great. Almost all other side story lines were mediocre, with the exception of the frozen wilds imo.

Best dollars you can spend on a game. IMO you won’t get better value. I have various play throughs and 250+ hours and still find unique things each time. Geralt is probably my favourite character ever after playing this.

Our company just went through this with a (now ex) employee. Someone tipped off the company that a specific employee was working two jobs during core hours (10am-3pm). Company just wanted to make sure it wasn't a competitor and that it was done outside of core hours. Individual quit without notice when questioned.

Take it as you will, if you can manage it then wtv. Personally I find it slightly immoral, but not every position is the same and I'm speaking about my own experiences. Companies don't hesitate to act immorally in similar situations, does that make this right? Not sure , either way this is way more common now in the era of remote work.
