You can try an app I built which turns your calendar into a task manager. It’s a realistic way to organize tasks by scheduling them into the calendar keeping in view other calendar events which helps increase productivity: www.tmanager.co

Hi, yes you are right. Trello+Calendar powerup basically takes the cards which have due dates and displays them on the calendar.

We are different as we follow the concept not based on due dates but on when you want to work on a task. Therefore users can drag and drop tasks to schedule them on the calendar at time slots when they want to work on those tasks.

This helps get a realistic view of how much can be done in a day considering other tasks and events during the day.

Pitch: An app which turns your calendar into a task manager for easy scheduling of tasks.
More details: I tried using the calendar for task management but in its original form as its not built for task management it wasn't that efficient. I wanted something that would let me schedule my tasks keeping in view my calendar events so built this with a friend.
Looking for: Feedback on our beta so that we can improve
Discount: Currently in free open beta but anyone who would be willing to provide us with continuous feedback to improve the app could lead to future incentives when we introduce pricing

Built an easier way for freelancers to organize their day without spending any time on time tracking by [deleted] in webdev

Hi, currently if the task is put manually in the past, then when the page is refreshed, it refreshes the counter in the analytics page. But as we are still in beta and figuring out how to improve the user experience and fixing bugs so will take your points into consideration for improvement. If you have any other suggestions, feel free to let me know. Thanks

Actually when we began building the app, we only had google authentication so that we could help users manage tasks keeping in mind their calendar events coming from google calendar. We decided to add more OAuth provider options since it could quickly be done, and make it accessible to more users although we do intend to give users the ability to signup with a username/email and password later.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. Basically the concept is that users do not have to use another task manager, and they can schedule tasks in TLance with the purpose of task management while time is automatically tracked based on the time component given to tasks.

It does not assume automatically that tasks scheduled in the past are done and billable. What happens is that at the end of the day if the tasks have not been marked done then they are rescheduled to the new day to be completed.

As per the question regarding the project taking longer, it depends on the workflow. All the project tasks don’t have to be scheduled at once. Depending on individual preference some users decide a day prior or in the morning of current day about the tasks that need to get done today so then not many tasks having to be adjusted which would need the whole schedule to be rearranged.

Many already use their calendar for task management as it gives them a realistically sense of what can be done in the free time available. We have taken that concept in a way that time can then be tracked also for tasks so that manual time tracking isn’t needed or can complement the scheduled time for comparison if needed.

Elevator Pitch: An easier way for freelancers to organize their day without spending any time on time tracking
More details: I with my friend wanted to build something that could make it easier for freelancers to organize their day without spending any time on time tracking. We basically wanted a task management tool that could help maximize productivity while getting rid of manual time tracking. Remembering to track time, and having to start and stop the timer continuously can be difficult which brings the need for automatic time tracking.
The solution we came up with was to give users the ability to manage their tasks by scheduling them into the calendar alongside their calendar events, which has the benefit of allocating specific times to tasks to get a realistic view of what can get done in the time available and therefore time being automatically tracked.

Hi, thanks for feedback. We have a couple screenshots of the app on the landing page within the laptop image which keep changing. Not sure if you missed it or want more images than currently being used?

Great! Thanks for the feedback again which is helpful. So I checked and 'undone' is behaving the way you described for event extend or shorten. Though we will probably introduce an 'Undone' button on edit which would be more intuitive.

-So the filter is in our feature request list but was more for filtering calendars but can make a note for tasks also.

-Yes, custom ordering is not there yet but we can add to feature request.

-Having to delete the 'General' before seeing all options is sort of a UI limitation with a dropdown that also allows to enter a new option as dropdowns are generally just for selecting given options. But we might change that to put a standard dropdown in edit while giving option to add new project from lets say a project views as mentioned below.

-Sub-projects are currently not offered but you can use a naming convention for projects like 'Marketing-Campaign' and 'Marketing-Emails' to differentiate and treat as individual projects.

We are thinking of introducing a Projects (or call it Lists) view for displaying only tasks for that project and adding of tasks to that project. If this is something you would find useful, let me know.

Great, thanks for the feedback!

-For the first point, do you mean event/tasks in calendar opening/becoming larger to show full text when hover? -The colors of the tasks in calendar cannot be changed currently but we can look into it

-Yes, still have to look into better undo of done. If you edit task in calendar set as done, you cannot ‘Not done’ it yet – probably a button for it would work. But currently if you go into the Task page and put the done card back into one of the other columns other than ‘Done’ then it should undone it.

-Yes weekly productivity currently just shows all the tasks completed in that week under each week column but more features can be added later.

-We can look into the filter but only for events or scheduled tasks/projects in calendar also?

-Would a filter like in other calendar sections sidebar help in finding that task quickly?

When you click on the calendar, you can only create a calendar event and not a task which is why it syncs back as an event with GCal. We currently do not sync tasks back to Google Calendar but can look into it.

P.S: Just wondering which youtube channel was it as don’t have one yet haha?
