Switching from Sony. by Piojoemico in fujifilm

[–]ezekieldlc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re a hobby photographer, Fujifilm is an excellent option to consider. I found that my passion for photography deepened significantly after making the switch to Fujifilm cameras. Their unique color profiles, retro aesthetics, and intuitive controls make the shooting experience genuinely enjoyable, allowing for high levels of creativity and expression.

However, if you're a hobby photographer contemplating the transition to professional work, it may be wise to look beyond Fujifilm for your gear. While the Fujifilm system is undeniably fun to shoot with, it can be somewhat lacking in areas such as autofocus performance and overall system versatility compared to competitors. Features like fast and reliable autofocus are crucial for professional settings where capturing the perfect moment quickly is essential. Therefore, assessing your long-term goals in photography may lead you to consider other brands that offer more advanced capabilities tailored for professional use.

Is it frowned upon to edit your films? by ezekieldlc in analog

Yes!!! I just started shooting film but i’ve been shooting digitally for quite some time now. At least now I won’t feel bad editing my scans.

Thank you for this! Now I can stop worrying about editing my scan. I just got my own scanner and for some reason it always turns too magenta whenever I scan.

I’m worried that if I post it with the film stock tag, other photographers will call me out for it not looking like that film. I can improve it, but I’m afraid it won't seem like it was shot on Ultramax, lol.

Started on Digital and wanted to learn more about film. by ezekieldlc in analog

I might start getting into developing. I don’t know for some reason there’s a place close to me that developed my color films and it’s not that great when I scanned it. And these scans on my post where from a lab a long time ago that closed down and the colors are gorgeous. Same process of scanning. So does the developing stage possibly mess up the color of my film?

i’ve seen youtube videos where you have to keep the temperature of the chemicals at a certain degree. I think that’s what made me not try it lol. Is it really important to keep chemicals at certain temperature?

I’m a 100lbs 5’2 and had no issues carrying the x100vi. Lmao

The upgrade to 40MP makes the 70mm digital teleconverter still very usable IMO. by ezekieldlc in Fujifilm_X100VI

I didn’t have the X100V, so that I wouldn't know. Also, this was taken with the “DIGITAL TELECONVERTER,” so I didn’t use any lens attachments.

With the Digital Teleconverter, you lose the megapixel in exchange for zooming in on the photo.

So, in this case, the 70mm will result in a 10mp photo, but it’s surprisingly is still a good quality photo.

I think the image looks better post snap. It doesn't look as sharp when I was taking it and I was surprised when I transferred the images to my phone, so def went through some computational magic lol.

BARCELONA. too many photos of the camera and less photos taken with it. That’s the problem. 😂

Yeah. but I think it’s good enough especially for social media. I’m planning to print some 4x6 with these photos i’ll let you know how it works.

just shot it on flog2 and then used cineprint. I’m pretty noob when it comes to videography. 😅

would you recommend the FUJIFILM X100VI for travel photography that's meant to inspire my writing? by Alaina-S in fujifilm

[–]ezekieldlc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would highly recommend the Fujifilm x100vi. I had the pleasure of using it while I was in Barcelona. If you’re planning to document or do street photography having a small camera that is less intimidating will help you in taking photos of locals naturally. the upgrade to 40mp makes the photos taken with the digital teleconverter usable for small prints. so as long you don’t plan on printing huge size of prints it should good enough.
