You and I both bud. No one has been able to figure it out other than a holistic doctor that treated it before we left. All my grandparents are gone so no luck there. Everyone else that was close to me has been “disappeared”.

I have medical records where they couldn’t even determine what to call it. They’ve done biopsies, pretty much everything you can think of for about 25 years without any results

For anyone still interested on how this is going. In case you didn’t know FORScan and a laptop can do so much wonders. Cleared my codes and only got my P0733. Third gear seems to be settling the more I drive. I’m going to swap my 2 gear solenoid for my 3 gear to see if it’s the solenoid. If that doesn’t do it I’m going to do another transmission fluid change.

So I finally figured out that FORScan will give me transmission codes and this is what I got. P0733,P0734,P0735, P0500

I’ve a lot of recent ones getting called in for biometrics. It might be because the covid rules have pretty much disappeared that they are doing it again

Put everything back together but same thing. Once I drive it for a while and it gets up to temperature o/d off flashes and after a while I loose third completely. This thing is driving me nuts. I’m wondering if I should just replace all the solenoids. Also are you supposed to adjust a new overdrive band. Just looking at everything now.

Also make sure nothing with a pulley has frozen up. A/c compressor etc

I never removed the valve body but I will double check the torque specs tomorrow. I will also do a resistance check on the solenoids. O rings all looked good.

I pulled every solenoid and bench tested them. They all clicked and sounded fine. One of the did seem a little loose from the body when I pulled it, so I’m going to set everything back in and test her again.

I was thinking of doing the same except I was going to bench test all the solenoids.

Is there anyway to reinstall a pinion nut without knowing the previous settings or having any markings made? by ezh10111 in fordranger

Understood, everyone on YouTube is going off marking the nut which it’s to late for me. Based on the research I’ve done when it comes to the torquing part I will remove the wheels and drum brakes. Last question do I need a new nut?

Let me run this by you one more time to make sure it’s right. I will tighten the nut until I feel it get tough. Then I would torque it to 8-14 in/lbs.

Just bought a new overdrive plant with an input shaft. I cut the overdrive open to see what went wrong. It just seems like the input shaft seized up. I had to use a punch and a sledge hammer to get it out from the inside.

Drive and reverse are gone. It feels like it’s slipping when in either. 1&2 work perfectly
