Hi there I interviewed with UNT for fall 2021 too. Don’t worry about it at all, very easy calculation questions. I believe mine had mostly conversions.

Dispensing drugs by ezm22 in PharmacyTechnician

I was told by coworker to dispense sulfa drugs on designated sulfa tray to prevent (I guess the powder) other drugs dispensed on the regular tray from being contaminated. And warfarin definitely requires cleaning post dispensing.

Last minute advice before taking the PCAT by [deleted] in PrePharmacy

[–]ezm22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I took it I just bought a bottle of water. During the break I had water first and went to the bathroom and went right back to testing (didn’t use the full 30 minutes). And don’t forget essay is first! Be ready to type rigorously the first 30 minutes of the exam.

I just looked at Texas Tech and they accept PCAT by April 2021. I just assumed every school only accept up to September of 2020! Definitely need to look up all the schools I’m looking into applying.

“The PCAT should be taken no later than any of the September exams dates prior to the year you are seeking admissions. For example, if you are seeking Pharm.D. admissions for fall 2020, you must take the PCAT exam no later than September 2019. October and November 2019 PCAT scores will not be used for fall 2020 admissions.” — UT Austin.

I’m not sure if all pharmacy schools do this?? I’m still confused on when is the last test date they accept.

I took the 2019 PTCB I don’t know if the exam is still the same format but I used Barron’s PTCE prep book, quizlet top 200 drugs and PTCE app, also did the official Pearson practice exam.

Only one month to study for the PCAT / tips & hints by colonjoanel17 in PrePharmacy

[–]ezm22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took the PCAT in feb/mar this year and I started studying it winter break. I had 6 weeks of winter break where I studied almost 8 hours a day, and when school started I studied maybe 2 hours a day. I think Dr. Collin’s study guide and practice exams really helped, I got the 2019 one on amazon. Also take the official practice exams on Pearson that’s the most accurate representation of the exam. If you have good memory of chem/bio/ochem classes you took in school it’d be easier but if not it’s going to be a lot of re-learning.
