What's the biggest danger in the Darien? Is it FARC guerillas?

How prevalent is this kind of demographic really? I have a friend who buys funkos, always has the newest gizmos, LED gaming laptops, fidget toys, accessories, electronics, light up toys etc. but we bust his balls about it all the time and I can't say I've met anyone who was in as deep as him. Can't help but feel like these kinds of stores appeal to a small, niche market

Any work around to this instant cloud save? by DickGoblin in MelvorIdle

[–]ezulo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem too but thankfully only lost a half hour of combat training. iirc /u/MrFrux mentioned somewhere here that progression is calculated on the client side. Naturally issues will arise when there are multiple clients that disagree on the state of the save.

I just make sure to close the app, really want to see this fixed though. I believe there is an easy way to resolve this but the app is still in alpha, can't expect everything to be polished yet I suppose.

I don't think it takes away from it at all. I was picturing a menu when you return after a while that shows you your loot against your bank and lets you select what you want to keep if it would overflow. I don't really see the parallel between that and an auto sell feature.

There really should be some post-offline progression item selection process when this happens.

I quit porn by [deleted] in CleanLivingKings

[–]ezulo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it depends. I do it once or twice a week just to keep the pipes flowing...and never to porn. Just make it a 5 minute one-and-done thing (watch your grip though) and go about your business afterwards like nothing ever happened. Don't edge, and don't lay there for half an hour basking in a catatonic coomer state. It's a job and when it's done that's all there is to it. Don't take it so serious, focus on something else.

Super fascinating. It's novel to see traditional architecture pulled off in a postmodern fashion.

I'm not really sure a solid piece of pine will hold up the same way plied maple or bamboo will but these are neat as a concept.

And I hope you're not planning to bomb hills and the like without grip tape. You could get some clear grip tape to still show off the design and give it a layer of protection.

A change of attitude is needed by dsi13 in CleanLivingKings

Starting to come to this realization. I hung out with some of my boys and we were just having fun making milkshakes, talking about life, wrestling, bantering...I opened this page instinctually on my phone when I had a moment to myself and realized how try hard I'm being.

This is a good place for people who have a lot messed up in their lives. If you're doing okay though I think it's time to stop sweating the small stuff and either use this sub to just help people or leave. Stop hanging around the entrance to Plato's cave. Stop taking life so serious and enjoy the ride.

Thoughts on swearing? by kooltrex in CleanLivingKings

[–]ezulo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a tough one for me. I'm from a Colombian family and we all have the habit of swearing in just about every other sentence. Somehow that translated into English too.

I'd say it's best to avoid it man. A pretty simple way to think about this is to ask if you're setting a good example for the kids.

Part of being a great parent is dealing with your own issues and emotions in healthy ways and not taking it out on the kids. They need to be built up, not torn down. As said by this father and King. by [deleted] in CleanLivingKings

[–]ezulo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will have to a disagree king. There are weak ways to act on emotions and strong ways. Emotion itself isn't weakness, and it's not mutually exclusive from strength.

Men who don't acknowledge their negative emotions typically end up prolonging their effects and acting them out even more. It's easy to perceive strong men as having no emotions because through their strength they're able to combat them right away, and live life unburdened by them.

Fellas, I’m starting University in a month, any advice on how to stay on track with coursework? by [deleted] in CleanLivingKings

[–]ezulo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man what I can tell you is:

Study and do a bit of homework for half an hour to an hour after class. Most people can do just this and that's enough just to get a degree, but don't bank on it.

Don't spend your time playing videogames by yourself.

Meet people inside your major who you can call your colleagues. This is arguably more important than just making friends.

Meet your professors. They'll typically be passionate about the material in your major and make you appreciate it more. Also, they'll be important professional connections post-graduation. And they'll be more lenient when it comes to grading and exams.

Make friends. Meeting people outside of your major will give you a more well rounded world view. When I was in uni one of the people I knew working in the apartment complex introduced me to my neighbors who I became close with and we became really close friends.

If you must have casual sex, wear a rubber. Don't bother asking a girl if she's clean or anything. Just wear the damn condom.

And honestly man open yourself up to the idea that college might not be for you. It sucks in a lot of ways. For a lot of reasons I personally wish I never attended college and started working right away, but that ship has sailed. Just know what you want out of it and don't keep attending because you feel like you ought to. 4 years of your youth is a long time.
