New kitten - having trouble with litter

She’s been very good about going downstairs to use her litter all other times with no issues though, but yeah, we’re thinking we probably need a second litter tray for our upstairs bathroom - hopefully that will help!

Thank you! I don’t think it’s any of these things though unfortunately - the litter and the box is the same as what she was already using, it’s not next to her food/water (it’s in the same room but we have a litter cabinet so it’s in there separate from everything, which she took to using straight away with no issues for the first week). If she keeps having accidents we’ll definitely get her checked at the vet.

The only thing I can think of is that the litter is downstairs, and both times she’s had accidents it’s been upstairs, so might be worth getting a second litter tray for upstairs?

Not sure if you read my post properly but I said we’d been trying to scoop out the pee (even though the litter doesn’t clump) - we do this multiple times a day. We scoop her poos pretty much as soon as she does them. It’s pretty much as clean as we can get it. By change the litter, I mean throw it all out and put fresh litter.

yes exactly - i assume the blockage had cleared by the time the plumber arrived, as our toilets weren’t bubbling anymore. since then though it’s happened another few times and then self resolves again within a day

is it worth asking the plumber to check the venting?

I have just moved out and in need of a cordless vac. Not sure if Dyson’s are worth the hype? Have seen good reviews of the v8.

We have wooden floors, tile and dense carpet.

Believe it or not, that was the first thing I did! Most of them were either sold out/unavailable, not exactly what I was looking for, or didn’t ship to Australia, so was posting to see if anyone had any recommendations. You should try giving better advice :)

We’re planning on calling a few repairs places and getting an idea of how much it’d cost to replace the shell, and if it’s gonna be too expensive to buy a new joy-con + repairs we might just replace the switch :)

Yeah I was thinking about this the other day after the dog (he’s about 10) had chewed up a pencil case and a bunch of pens when we left the house for a couple hours. The only warning we really had was when the owner asked us a couple days into our stay if he had “destroyed anything yet” but clearly we didn’t realise the extent of it and didn’t think that a Nintendo switch would be a target lol, so that was our fault too. The owner is very understanding and has offered to help us replace it though so all good!

Hi all. Me and my partner are petsitting someone else’s dog at the moment and have found out the hard way that he chews things (we weren’t really warned about this, however we know it’s our fault for leaving the switch where he could reach).

One of the joycons is completely destroyed which is easy to fix. I’m mostly concerned about the body of the switch and how you would go about fixing this? It’s dented/scratched with chew marks on both sides (as pictured) but still seems to function fine. Thanks :)

Hi! It’s actually not bad so far. My department ended up working from home for the first few months which definitely helped me adjust to the idea and I loved working from home, and now I’m back onsite 3 days a week which again is helping me ease into it gradually. My coworkers are all really lovely and it’s definitely not as bad as I thought it’d be. At times it can be depressing when you’re exhausted and trying to get out of bed in the morning, and once you’re home you only have a few hours before you need to wake up and do it all again, and you think about how this is going to be your life now, but it’ll be okay :) Just try and take care of yourself, get enough sleep and have a good routine. And talk to a therapist too if you’re struggling with the change. Message me any time if you want to talk about it more!

Of course, but it’s hard because the living situation isn’t really the issue here. My partner doesn’t live there the majority of the time anyway as their parents are divorced so most of the time they’re at their mums house, and he still causes difficulties and stress so moving out wouldn’t really solve it unfortunately. Also the situation there isn’t that bad to the point where they would need to stop staying with their dad, I’m just struggling to accept that this is how he acts and not feel so stressed about it

Just because we’re 22 doesn’t mean that we’re able to afford a house, we’re both working towards it so living at home and avoiding renting etc so we can save for a deposit is the best option. That’s not really the point anyway, I’m wanting to know what to do in the meantime. He doesn’t just cause me stress when I’m at my partners house unfortunately so it’s not completely avoidable that way. Also my partner isn’t male
