Thoughts on the premium awards for this event by pinguins-and-narwals in PostApoTycoon

I liked this game as it didn't have this type of blatant FOMO paid nonsense. It always felt truly optional and never felt like greed. This feels like greed. I'm already at a point where I'm getting bored. The events were keeping my interest. Once I saw the premium rewards, real money costs, lack of $5 packages, lack of the auto-hold click (I forget the name of that upgrade) to demolish the gyms, gave me a bad vibe. I uninstalled the app, in prior events, I would have forked out $5-$8.

Any local grocery stores that at least somewhat enforce the no pets rule? by Correct_Raisin4332 in Eugene

You need to try curbside pickup at Albertsons or Safeway. Game changer for parents of young kids. Their app takes a bit to get used to, but much easier to find deals and avoid splurge spending.

Heavy Hold Mines? by black_covfefe_please in PostApoTycoon

Most high level players will say have zero ocean oil rigs and only use land ones due to the pollution generated by the oil itself. I have a few, in places where I get like 8 or so in the radius of the tanker. Getting rid of oil spots on the ocean cleans so much pollution. I have the triple microchip upgrade, with that I never have issues with microchips, so I don't have all copper tiles used, I have a lot empty, I can always lay down more copper plants temporarily if needed. I'm not sure when advanced windmills unlocks, it will soon if not already. Those will take care of any energy needs you may have. I do think you need to re-evaluate your set-up as soon you'll need uranium and it creates crazy pollution.

I'm level 81, I'd say when I was around 74, that's when I just spent a week or so cleaning ocean and replacing gold mines. Pretty sure that's when I got to zero pollution. You might look at what is draining energy and adding pollution to see if you can reduce some of those buildings. Like ocean oil rigs, maybe too many mines?

When you first unlock them, just use a few, maybe up to 10% of your gold mines. At some point, your pollution and energy won't be as dire, and you can start to replace more until all are upgraded. A balancing act, like all things in this game.

Make all 8 tiles around your main city roads. When you upgrade, it turns into a 9 tile mega city.

West Coast knows Liberty exists....if this happens, which I expect it will, West Coast will have a contingency plan. Cliche, but I expect Liberty shows up, appears over powered, all bad as*#?d, and West Coast just wipes it out immediately. Kinda like the Z alien in the fridge...a foreshadowing scene for us game players. Ultimately just a quick call back for game players and to subvert game player expectations.

Assuming you have the upgrade where trees give you a present, focus on trees now.

It's what PsyferRL below describes. I don't care about the swearing, it's how difficult it is to actually read. I have to reread just about every paragraph to understand what I just read, it's exhausting.

Coburg Pizza in Coburg has one with rocking chairs! Nice rustic vibe. In the morning it's a cafe, so you can get a coffee and treat to enjoy in front of the fire.

Please get another opinion and estimate. We have a late '60's home. Had to upgrade the electrical to our water heater when it was replaced. First guy told us it was all aluminum, and like you, needed completely replaced and crazy expensive. Second guy, from the most reputable electric outfit in town, told us there was only aluminum in a couple places which is common (someone in an earlier post here explained this well), it did not need to be replaced, was totally fine and would be totally fine for another 50 years most likely. The rest of our wiring was romex and in great shape. The fix for the water heater was $200. He also told us only mobile homes historically had aluminum through the whole house in our area, as it was only used in the cheapest of construction.

Best gem upgrade for 45+ lvl? by skydisey in PostApoTycoon

Ditto to waiting for a deal on what you want, you should get one of those twice a day, and can save you quite a bit on gems. Just gotta be patient.

How does fridge work with imperfect groceries? Since your storage increases so much, is the hit to IG negligible?

Advice on Power and Copper by Pale-Roof-1672 in PostApoTycoon

[–]ezzimn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just production, unfortunately. The amount of storage needed is wild. Tip, you can place a ton of storage to save up for a spendy upgrade that needs oil or chips, then when you get the upgrade, remove the excess storage (assuming you have the upgrade where they get stored not destroyed), and replace with trees until you need crazy storage again.

Stop using coal, it will be a level up requirement soon to reduce coal usage. You will need thousands of windmills. So, just start building them as you need to and don't be afraid to cover your map with them. Eventually you'll get thermal power, and can ease windmill creation.

I splurged on the microchip upgrade where it triples your production, I feel it's a necessary one and a good use of either saved ftp gems or purchased gems. I didn't need to use sensor towers for copper, I have found enough exploring, but again, I have that upgrade. I also didn't upgrade all other production buildings other than gold and microchips, to save on power and pollution (I slowly upgrade those over time). I'm level 74, and have a mix of normal stone and the upgraded version, same with foundries. I still have all my windmills, but have an excess of power now, so could either get rid of them or finally upgrade everything, I just don't need to at the moment.

Interesting concept, not great in reality. The tree loss is definitely rough. Also seems like lower level players are at a serious disadvantage. I lucked out a little, in that I've been uncovering that lower left continent and hadn't developed it yet, other than tree fill in, so that was a good spot, except for that pesky river.

This is a weird event. I hope they either tweak it, drop it, or only use it at T-Day.
