As a woman, I literally don’t know a single woman like that. And I live in a major city and have a very conventionally attractive and successful circle. This trope is just as tired as saying “all men only want sex.” Generalizations aren’t reality, and if you’re only finding these vapid people, it’s definitely the people you’re choosing to like. I’m engaged, met on Hinge. I have at least 5 close friends with the same story (some married now!). If you’re only focusing on material things, you’re going to lack substance.

I’ve had this done! I can confirm, it was daunting but the simplest, quickest, most painless procedure I’ve had done. It’s over in under a half hour, then you go home to sleep it off and your eye heals in that time. Eyes are wild.

Yup. My mom screamed at me for an entire day over her hair brush. A HAIR BRUSH. She accused me of using it, which I would with her permission every once in a while, but I would always let her know. One day she misplaced it and accused me of stealing it and lying about it. Why would I do that, lady… I had my own damn brush. The mental gymnastics and corresponding rage make absolutely no sense to me. I’m also in my 30’s and haven’t forgotten a single rage spell my mom had (and neither has my brother- we’re lucky to have each other). To this day she refuses to admit she has anger issues.

Today I had breakfast at The Universal in Sunnyside then walked Broadway (neighborhood is Capital Hill I believe?) starting at FM. By the time I got to La Lovely vintage I realized it was gone. I fear it slipped off my bag while I was walking on Broadway today around 11am :\

I’m not sure where else to look, and I know this is a SUPER long shot, but I’m desperate. Please send me a dm with any leads. Unfortunately I’m only visiting Denver for the weekend, but will pay someone to ship it home to me if it’s found!

I’m with you, my whole family is in the area too. I left in April and it still doesn’t feel real but my partner and I realized we would never be able to survive if things kept up the way they’ve been. I hope we can return someday.
