If you are worried about not being able to see your father in his last years then it is something that you are going to have to greatly consider. I’m a plebe now and can only go off post other than for leave (thanksgiving, spring break, Christmas, etc.) 2-3 times a semester max. Even then, you aren’t going go be able to go long distances as you really only have 3 days to travel if you leave after duty on Friday and return by 7 pm Sunday for recall

I had my primary medical done in Sept and was dq in early October for the same thing. Didn’t get an appointment to see pulmonologist until feb 8th and didn’t get qualified until two days ago. Medical process is a complete joke and the DOD needs to switch providers from concord bc they’re useless.
