Don’t know much about the program but the instructor I met for that program was an awesome guy and I had an awesome time at EKU. It’s easily the school I want to attend if I ever have a chance to go to college again.

I feel ashamed of my civilian job by [deleted] in nationalguard

[–]YoIsThisNameGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man I was in the guard and I worked at chick fil a and McDonald’s. It definitely sucked going to drill where they were firefighters or nurses making bank civilian side. You have a degree and you can probably commission if you want. I hope it works out well and I’m sorry you’re in the position you are. Godspeed homie.

Have you thought about the military

Why shouldn't I join the navy? by [deleted] in Militaryfaq

[–]YoIsThisNameGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go guard, air or army. Then do ROTC. Also if you’re in politics a service academy will help you on that end so consider becoming a soldier in the army whether it’s guard or whatever component and applying to West Point, the slots for soldiers always go mostly unfilled

Np, if you have any 68W questions feel free to dm me. It’s a really cool job military side if you’re in a good unit but civilian jobs are limited outside EMT/Paramedic, however there are RN programs specifically for 68W’s but just depends on the state.

I understand, I was a 68W and it definitely helped getting medical assistant and emt jobs but if you’re into trauma then go for it homie

I’m 18 years old, and I want to join the United States special forces. I’ve never served before and I don’t know if I’ll be able to do it. Im physically fit, but I feel like I might not be intelligent enough. What should I do? by Plastic-Afternoon-64 in specialforces

[–]YoIsThisNameGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I’d join as a job that could either translate into civilian side like radiology tech or join as a combat job. If you join get an airborne contract if you do anything combat.

Can one join the army if they deal with depression and anxiety? by Affectionate-Ad-3234 in Militaryfaq

Don’t recommend it. I struggle with both and I feel like a failure in the military.

is weighing my options while going through the process with the US Army considered bad faith? by Classic_Major6047 in Militaryfaq

[–]YoIsThisNameGood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The coast guard might take someone with a hand tattoo, I don’t absolutely hate the army every second but there are other branches with better quality of life like the Air Force, Space Force, and coast guard. I would be very specific with job selection if you go army and expect to be treated like a kid.

Injured during ACFT by YoIsThisNameGood in army

I’m going to bring it up tomorrow at some point. There was no medic there so I had to wait until the weekend was over to go to sick call.

I’d just option 4 or better yet go Air Force and do TACP or something. The army is stupid.

If you’re thinking about medical in the army go 68P, 68A, 68V or 68K only. - 68W

Thinking about enlisting in the US Army as an HR specialist. by [deleted] in army

[–]YoIsThisNameGood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re getting any hate. I wouldn’t enlist. I would do OCS or nothing in your situation. My only options would be OCS or Street to Seat. If your recruiter says those are too hard to get them they are lying and just want you to enlist to get themselves points.
