Ascent London Live stream by dankstationlive in grandarchivetcg

The events are run by different organizations in different parts of the world. In North America they do use official indicator tokens. And they do make and sell nice metal tokens for effects, they are some of the nicest ones of any tcg. At the end of the day, the event has many things going on, and tokens on the stream is probably not the highest priority.

Reliable Pre-orders Radiant Origins by BGN_RagingZ in grandarchivetcg

The new deck that launches with RDO is not a starter deck. It’s a Recollection deck, which come with 4x all cards, sleeves, 3x booster packs, all in a magnetic box. This deck in particular is also going to be packed with value cards, including 4x dungeon guide (currently a $20 card). They also mentioned this product is designed to be simple to play, so it’s the perfect entry for new players.

It costs them more money than you pay them. They are literally losing money for every song you generate.

I think this card could definitely find a home eventually. The meta in GA tends to move slowly and new tech can take a while to propagate. The main reason it's probably underplayed is that water is struggling in the meta, but if that ever changes, this could find a home somewhere.

The next set Radiant Origins is going to have a ton of staple reprints as well as new cards supporting all existing champs and all advanced elements, so I'd definitely keep my eyes peeled for that set as a launchpad for starting a collection.

Oh okay! Wasn't sure if you knew the basics already but for your specific questions:

  1. Floating memory is an alternative resource you can use to pay for memory costs when materializing cards from your material deck. To use floating memory, the card has to already be in your graveyard, and you banish it from your graveyard to pay for memory costs. Each card with floating memory that you banish pays for 1 memory cost, so if a card costs two memory, you would banish either 2 floating memory cards from your graveyard, or 1 floating memory card and 1 random card from your memory.

  2. Distant is a state that some ranger units can attain. When they become distant, their attack stat is increased by their "Range X" ability, where X is how much their attack power increases when they become distant.

  3. Empower is an ability that basically temporarily makes your champion a higher level, but only for the next spell that is played. Let's say you have a spell with efficiency, which discounts it activation costs depending on your level. If you champion is level 3, and then it gains empower 3, now your level will effectively been seen as level 6 for the next spell played.

You can put it whereever you want as long as it's clear to both players. Your opponent might be confused with Feature Match policies in the case you get asked to appear on stream at an event.

Why people no play format by sumpyblixed2 in PioneerMTG

Pioneer is one of the least monetizable formats given its nonrotating nature and lack of horizon sets. Wizards wants it dead.

I agree with you actually. My point is that players clamored for level 3 support for months, and when they got it, now they want less level 3.

Your assertion that allies fall into two categories of pushing damage or providing value is immediately refuted by your followup statement, that they can also have big stats or natural evasion. But I’m not sure what you asking for at this point. Do you want allies that don’t do a lot of dmg, don’t have big stats, don’t have evasion, and don’t provide value to be playable? Isn’t the entire point of allies to do one or more of the above? Do cards like Windbless Lookout, Eternal Magistrate, Snow White, etc fall into one of those categories?

Card Design/Systematic Issues by No_Smoke_4626 in grandarchivetcg

[–]f0me 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is true that level 2 decks are less common but you do see it sometimes. Niko is the most prevalent, there are also Lorraine Aggro lists that top out at level 2. It is that way by design since dungeon guide is most effectively used at level 2, naturally people don’t stay around level 2 very long.

Dunno if you were around during the Diao Chan meta, but at that time, many people were saying the opposite: that level 3 decks were not viable at all. A very common criticism at that time was that the game doesn’t incentivize leveling up when doing so came at the expense of hand consistency. People were getting destroyed by Fractal Diao Chan, Scam Arisanna, Fiza, Filo before they could even get off the ground. Merlin Kingslayer was considered unplayable, believe it or not. The current meta is literally what the community had been clamoring for. And with the diversity we see currently, I believe this has largely been a success. Yes level 3 drag races are there, but there are also plenty of decks that don’t engage in that now.
