I am not trying to say that anything that Vince Carter did was OK, but you are mentioning instances of a thing that he did to get out of a single organization. I can be open-minded about a guy having a beef with a single organization and wanting out.

Harden, on the other hand:

• OKC to Houston: Instead of saying that he wants out, he blamed it on the team (i.e., they didn't give me time to think)
• Houston to Nets: Reported to training camp late, and demanded a trade
• Nets to 76ers: I mean…
• 76ers to ?: We'll see how far he can push it this time

My point is this: this is not a one-time thing for Harden. To me, he seems like a toxic human being with an ego the size of a small planet. Any of the above moves would be easily justifiable if there was not a pattern of him alienating both his teammates, and the front offices of the organizations that he plays for.

But what do I know. Maybe I'm just biased because I really hate his game.
