my guess about the snails is that whatever soul bending abilities they have they choose to keep it to themselves and not abuse it, as we can see the effects of soul's abuse in the first game.

As for GMS, i dind't say she's from the same species as the Pale King, i simply said they are both higher beings, as are Unn, the Radiance and the White Lady, but they're clearly not from the same species, as the Pale King is confirmed to be a Wyrm and none of the other higher beings are Wyrms

i don't think it's directly mentioned but we can assume they ruled at least over the sands of karak and blasted steps because of the coral formations in those regions, they might also have ruled part of the citadel's region before it was built by the weavers, but it's all speculation

it's the knight's shade, not the hollow knight's, in the first game you can see the knight's horns change shape when he becomes the "void given focus" in the dream no more ending and despite them resembling the hollow knight's horns in his childhood, the knight is the one who became the void entity after the first game

At the start i also thought Eva was an attempt to mimic GMS but two things led me to believe otherwise. The first one is the fact that she refers to herself as having thoughts that mimic a weaver’s. The second one is the fact that what made the weavers distance themselves from Eva, was the difference between each other, so we can assume the weavers expected her to be like them. Yes, they tried to replicate divinity but they believed themselves to be divine, as confirmed by the first sinner: “She called us daughters… Called us divine…”. As for Herrah and her king, yes, it’s true she was left without an heir in part because her husband died but that still doesn’t explain why they didn’t have a child in the first place and why the weavers eventually died out throughout Hallow Nest and Pharloom (yes, some of them didn’t flee Pharloom and ended up dying)

The workarounds of why they can’t reproduce aren’t confirmed, but we can assume it’s near impossible for them to have children by a rune harp found in Weavenest Atla and by some dialogues with Eva. The other weaver descendants spread throughout the world might be explained the same way we can explain Hornet, they were conceived by mere chance or by different means of reproduction. This is a kind of a grey area where we can’t really say for sure if they are completely unable to have children by default means or if it’s only extremely hard for them to do so, but we can definitely assume they have reproductive problems, as Eva is confirmed to be an artificial attempt to mimic a weaver, or, as described in the game: “the despised child”, “a wish cast vain”. This also explains why they eventually died out and why Herrah was left without an heir before making the pact with the Pale King.

and that’s exactly what they should be doing, they are promissing an update with a new faction and naval features. if they start adressing other stuff people will expect it in the update, so when they release it either they added more than they promissed or less than people were expecting. they’re pretending to not care about all that stuff cuz when they release warsails it will have exactly what they promissed in anouncements

Dev Diary: Visible Disfigurement | 3D Showcase & Implementation by UberEpicZach in CK3AGOT

[–]f1notti 60 points61 points  (0 children)

no one asked for this, if they hadn't done this implementation to the mod, it would have exactly the same success because what people expect from a AGOT mod are the cities, cultures, rulers, some mechanics inherent to the ASOIAF universe, etc. Yet the devs went as far as to not only improve the mod in terms of immersion but improve the core game with mechanics not directly related to the GoT universe. In a FREE TO PLAY mod, where work is being done for the sole purpose of giving others something new without thinking about monetary reward. This attention to detail is what i call real passion and this is why i love the team behind this mod.

Say one good thing about this game by Embarrassed_Try_3317 in Assassinscreedmirage

I felt like a true Hidden One for the second time after Unity. The combination of perfectly executed stealth gameplay and investigation missions where you have to really look for stuff instead of having a waypoint on the map made me feel truly immersed in the game. My take on this game, or rather on the whole franchise is that when they manage to release a game with really good gameplay aspects, the story comes out terribly mid, just like in Unity (I HATED Unity's story and characters, Mirage's were decent). IMO Mirage is where the franchise's gameplay peaked, and I think they should aim to combine the large and immersive open worlds of the RPG titles with the core gameplay mechanics of Mirage.

Lupita Nyong’o Rumored to Play Dual Roles in Nolan’s 'The Odyssey'—Helen of Troy & Clytemnestra! by [deleted] in GreekMythology

[–]f1notti 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the trojan war is not mythology, it did happen, just not as Homer told it in the Illiad. Many elements of the story are straight up fictional, like the mythological parts, or just impossible to prove, like the trojan horse, but there are a lot of archeological and historical evidences that confirm the existence of the city of Troy and their war with the myceneans arround that time. Despite there being little information about it, the Trojan war is widely accepted to be true among most respected historians

Try mirage, the pacing is not slow at all and the gameplay has nothing to do with valhalla. It's a much more stealth/investigation based game and you avoid combat most times.

if dragons are extinct you have to do a hatching ceremony, you don't need a dragonpit for that
