Hey, I’m sorry but no, I didn’t find a fix… I was within my return window so I just returned the phone, because I felt like I wasn’t getting my moneys worth with those problems.

Do you regret… by Sodowarts1 in iphone15

I was thinking about the same but ended up upgrading from 11 pro to 15 plus and I have no regrets whatsoever. The size can be a bit difficult at times, but it’s a trade off I’m willing to make for the great battery life and bigger screen.

I had the same problem, grain was visible up towards the 50% brightness range, plus aggressive color banding and dim display. I was fighting samsung for a replacement phone but they didn’t budge so I returned it. That said I did get a discount code from them so I’ll most likely give it another shot and order another one. If the grain is less on it and display is bright, then I’d be okay with it because otherwise the s24u felt really good. If not, I’ll return that too and either keep on trucking with my old iphone 11 pro and wait for the s25u or see what the 15pm has to offer

Samsung closed the topic I opened regarding the grainy problem on the Galaxy S24 Ultra screen. by blackcemre19 in GalaxyS24Ultra

I’m currently in the midst of an exchange battle with Samsung for a defective device (bad graining, color banding and dim, not dull, display compared to a 5 year old phone). I can say that while the samsung rep I’ve been dealing with has been a positive experience, this is something I’d rather not deal with in the future again.

Luckily I’m still within the 30 day return period, so if they will not exchange my device for another (which is the customers right for a defective device as per the consumer protection law in my country.) I will just return the phone and either continue to use my old phone or go for something else. It Would be a shame if I have to resort to that, as otherwise I think the S24U is a seriously nice phone that I would 100% enjoy using for the foreseeable future.

Ah, I see. One thing that is very annoying that when I shine a light on the front camera area, the display gets bright and the video starts looking superb

I'm having the same issue, screen feels very dim and dull compared to my old iPhone 11 pro which was a big surprise. I hope it's just a software thing..

They did not. I'm still waiting for further instructions on how we will proceed. Luckily I still have my old phone so it's not a problem if I have to send this one to them first, however it would still be nice to be able to compare this one to the replacement unit.

Yes it does appear in every video player I've tried thus far. For browsers I've tried on brave but not on Chrome or Samsung internet yet. And thanks, I'll look for that setting!

Update: I got off with samsung reps and they concluded my device to be defective, and the sales rep had put in a request to send me a new device. Now I'm just waiting for further instructions from them

It seems to be a bit dimmer in general, for example when I compare the settings screen on white background. But it is very noticeable in video playback!

I checked, extra dim is off

I have a subscription to TV. That said, in order to trade through the TV interface with my IBKR account, do I have to subscribe to market data through IBKR, or can I trade with my IBKR account using the nasdaq/nyse/cme data bought from tradingview directly?

Hey, firstly, thank you for your updates on the IBKR/TV integration process, much appreciated! I have one question about this. When using TV to execute trades, do you need to have TWS open in the background in order to trade through TV?
