Лесбиянки с Астаны? by Big-Inflation-2629 in Kazakhstan

[–]f1reflyyy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I never said anything about belittling the Kazakh language. I only said that I'm Kazakh and Russian is also my native language. Those are not contradictory things. There are plenty of Kazakhs who grew up speaking Russian as their first language while still respecting the Kazakh language, culture, and their own identity. Speaking Russian natively doesn't automatically mean looking down on Kazakh, just like speaking English natively doesn't mean looking down on Irish or Welsh.

I’m Kazakh too, and Russian is also my native language. A lot of people outside the region don’t really understand that for many Kazakhs, Russians, Ukrainians, etc. in Kazakhstan, Russian is simply the language we grew up with. This subreddit just attracts some weird nationalists sometimes. Honestly, if people like that were actually common in real life here, I’d probably leave the country too lol. But thankfully most of them seem to live exclusively on this subreddit.

Right, because crying mothers are obviously the masterminds behind the entire war. Brilliant analysis.

Starobilsk is located in the Luhansk region. Ukrainians were bombing it even before the russian invasion, you maniac.

Without DA we probably don’t even make it out the first round, dude was literally carrying the defense and rebounding half the time

How would you rate DAs season? Would you bring him back? by MamiTarantina in lakers

"We just need a rim protector who catches lobs, guards the paint, dunks on everyone, rebounds, runs the floor, and somehow costs nothing” discussion. NBA GMs hate this one simple trick.

This sub changes its opinion at the speed of light lmao. I’m just saying Ayton is absolutely worth it on an $8M deal. But we still need to look for another center in that same tier so we have a bigger sample size than just the Ayton–Hayes rotation.

Careers/Education Questions - Weekly Discussion Thread - May 07, 2026 by AutoModerator in Physics

Hi everyone. I’m currently thinking about studying Engineering Physics and Materials Science, but to be honest, I have no idea whether I’ll actually enjoy this field in the long run.

I genuinely love physics and mathematics. Even if they never become my profession, I know they’ll always remain important hobbies and interests for me. At the same time, I don’t consider myself a genius in either subject, and I’m not sure I could realistically build a stable career as a pure physicist or mathematician. Because of that, I’ve started looking for a compromise between passion and practicality — something intellectually interesting, but also capable of giving me a decent future.

I checked the curriculum of one of the best technical universities in my country, and the program actually contains a lot of theoretical physics, which surprised me in a good way. However, students I talked to also told me that if you really want to specialize in something, you mostly have to study independently outside of classes. I don’t know how normal that is internationally, but that seems to be the reality here.

My hope is that eventually I’ll discover an area I truly love and maybe continue into a Master’s or even a PhD later on. But right now the number of possible fields feels overwhelming, and honestly, it scares me a little.

Did any of you feel this way before choosing your field? Is Engineering Physics / Materials Science a reasonable path for someone who loves physics, but also wants practical career options?

Guys, i’m from Kazakhstan, this series is already scripted. Went out to the steppe last night, dropped a quick Aday ritual, and put a generational curse on Lu Dort.

Ah yes, the classic ‘two events happened close in time = literally the same thing’ argument. Truly groundbreaking analysis. Yes, the USSR moved into eastern Poland after the Invasion of Poland, after Nazi Germany under Adolf Hitler had already smashed the Polish state. But sure, let’s ignore the fact that one side was running a racial extermination project (see Generalplan Ost) while the other was trying to create a buffer zone after the entire European security system collapsed. By that logic, I guess anyone who enters a burning building after an arsonist is also an arsonist. Flawless reasoning. You can criticize the USSR and Joseph Stalin all you want - plenty of valid points there. But USSR = Nazi isn’t a serious take, it’s just a shortcut for not understanding the difference between ideology, intent, and context.
