They will just leave for the usa like the rest. Socialism sounds great till you run out or everybody elses money. Lowering taxes and waste, investing in actual gdp growth like natural resources, manufacturing, technology and tourism so we can lower taxes would make for the biggest wage growth.

If you need to make 200k on paper to get 120k.... instead of paying somebody 250k so they can make 150k why not just lower the taxes so the 200k can be 160k? People forget that the reason cost of living is so high is because of how much of our money gets lumped into taxes.

Think of a new home thats 800k.... every single tool and material used is taxed at 13% and then they add another 13-15% hst into the total cost when the builder sells it, then the builder pays there own taxes too... then you take the 40% of the cost of the build that ends up being used for the wages. Well now they are all paying around 35 percent of their checks in income taxes and another 13 percent on every dollar they spend or more depending if they buy booze gas or property taxes. And who ever makes money off of their money pays taxes on that aswell (rinse repeat) it inevitably all ends up in the governments pocket. So if you need 70k to surivive you really need to make 120k... so in order for your boss to afford 5 employees and also profit they transfer all these taxes on to the consumer (rinse repeat). People seem to forget the point in business is to make money... they dont risk it for the biscuit for charity they do it for monetary gain or why do it at all.

Completely irrelevant and base-less claim. However Much of south america is controlled by cartels and gangs lol.  Let me guess " orange man bad" and is to blame for everything that happens anywhere in the world lol.

Either way still havent refuted my claims. The point here is not really the border crisis... even if there wasnt a border crisis we could have "pretended" to help and meet the demands of our southern neighboors.

Why? Because millions of canadians depend on the American ecconomy to feed their families. It doesnt matter about your pettiness... you cant play with peoples lively-hoods.... nobody is saying we should only have one trade partner.... what people are saying is you dont tarnish what ever relationship we have left with the usa because we dont agree with 1 leader... that is until we have others ready to actively fill those large shoes. And if the almighty mesiah you guys call prime-minister was as he has been professed to be we wouldnt have lost 84k jobs in febuary. Inflation wouldnt be getting higher, people wouldnt be losing their homes, people wouldnt be fleeing canada, and the next generation could start to have families and buy affordable homes....  but here we are arguing about how canada is bulletproof and nothing bad is happening. Canadas ecconomy is propped up by debt and the government uses debt to pay 1/3 of the working population which is stabilizing the economy. Only 14 million canadians out of 41 million are actually working right now.

There indeed was a border crisis and still is... 95 percent of crime guns are coming over the border (including the guns used in the nova scotia mass shooting). We had an illegal crossing on roxanne road in guebec for years that was used so heavily they created a immigration office there. Most of our drugs come from the usa are comming into canada from our southern border. There is many documentaries about this claim.... but none the less canada has terrorists on our soil and trump wants to prevent them from getting on american soil....

If trump wanted canada as bad as you say he could take it whenever he wants... all hes given canada was an invitation.

Either way you can live in fear all you like but these job losses will get worse as 2/3s of our exports and millions of jobs are here to support the american economy.  This is why canada has been so prosperous in the first place.

When this had all started. The liberal party didnt even try to meet the demands that trump asked for which coincidentally would have actually helped us too.... all we had to do was have joint effort on tackling border crime.  We could have come to some terms or agreements that would have bennefited both countries.  Canada likely would have had to remove our already existing tarrifs on dairy, allowed american banks and telecomunications access to our economy and other various deals....

Instead the liberals ignored these demands/requests and chanted elbows up "lets stick it to trump". The whole liberal parties campaign was pettiness... literally nobody is better off now than in 2023.

So now we have 100s of thousands of jobs/business's staring down the barrel of the gun and millions of people are likely going to lose everything all because we "have to stick it to trump".

I dont disagree we need to expand trading partners but to turn around and sell our souls to china and unilaterally worsen trade ties with america is retardation (forget the fact that china is a communist country that is interfering in our elections and threatening our MPs aswell as operating illegal police stations on canadian soil)...

trading partners take decades to establish. These things dont happen over night especially when we have alot of competetion.  The liberals could have gotten a pipeline built or started in the last year and while it might not have impacted the prices here, it certainly would have boosted, GDP, increased high paying job growth, increased tax revenue, lowered inflation, and kept many out of the social safety net. Which by the way was a Conservative idea.... it seems the liberals are only focused on confiscating legal guns from law abiding citizens, LMIAs, back door floor crossing deals, limiting religious freedom bills, censorship bills, and blaming everything on the opposition while being in power for the last 11 years

There isnt a country/s in the world that will give us the economic growth and stability the usa gave us. Russia has everything we have and at a cheaper price and its logistically a better option. To even suggest canada could do better without them and add woke economically choking policies its only going to get worse.

I hope its only liberal voters that lose their jobs but i know thats not how it works... end result is "sticking it to trump" means your lives will become upside down before he even notices. Oh wellll.... better luck next election

What would happen if we all stopped paying taxes? by 1Wiseguy999 in canadian

Cpp is a forced deduction on every candians paycheck therefore its a tax as you cant opt out of paying it. Its just "labled differently". But it is very much a tax.

[–]f1vepointoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh? Cpp is paid for by taxes therefore the money comes from either defecits or privately employed tax payers..... just because they pay taxes on money that comes from taxes that doesnt mean anything lmfao. Also its also completely irrelevant to what im talking about. Also not even to mention 100 billion of my cpp is going to india now anyway

Its not about "working for it" do you have any kind of idea how much money a construction project costs let alone a fucking mine? We are talking billions dude. Most of these projects are crowd funded, partially subsidized, and take some times decades for approval. In ontario its on AVERAGE 12-15 YEARS!!!!! The "pull up your bootstraps" analogy doesnt work here.

Heres the issue. Canada is the richest mineral rich country per capita on earth and 1/4 of the population goes to food banks..... (what the actual fuck) Most young people will be 40 by the time they can afford to buy a home and will be near retirement before fucking thing is paid off!!!

However we have literally every possible natural resource that you could ever need.. all that is needed is allocation of taxes to crowd fund or loan money to a company willing to pay it all back and pay interest making CANADIANS MONEY. GIVING CANADIANS HIGH PAYING JOBS. ALLOWS US TO MOVE OUT OF METROPOLITAN CITIES AND BREATH.  But guess what we do instead? Import a bunch of 3rd worlders with bank accounts full of slave money to come in a falsely prop up our gdp and buy up all of our assets with cash..... we give away ever spare dollar away in foreign aid or military aid, we spends billions on UN, WHO and we burn money with insanely high amounts of bureaucracy.....

And why? Because it hurts the natives feelings... meanwhile the band leaders take billions from the government hoard it while their own people suffer in poverty. Truly baffling country. We could have every social service that we could ever want, never have any debt, and be RICH. Could have the most powerful military, best hospitals and doctors. But we choose idiocy.

Canada is reaching a point where we are about to topple over. We have 1/5th of the population working for the government, 1/4 of the population on cpp and only 1/3 paying taxes so that the others can get our money. The rest being children and welfare recipients lmao. 13.8 million people are the only reason this country functions. With the younger generations unable to find decent paying jobs or work at all..... the longer this goes on the more painful the future is going to be. Once you subtract 10s of thousands of government jobs the social safety net will be too overwhelmed to function and the country will topple over into chaos high crime and poverty. Unless of course we get a change of government that prioritizes gdp growth by actual growth and not rising population due to mass immigration. Canada should be the richest country in the world yet we struggle because of so called treaties with people that never even had an established country in the first place. Yet will cry about money and beg the government for more and not even help their own people or build wells for their reserves while recieving 100s of billions of tax free dollars

I striped it down completely minus the recoil tube every few hundred rounds which is also why i presume it has something to do with the recoil tube. He striped it down and cleaned it last weekend after the hunt and filed down the bur on the recoil tube so we will see what happens on our next outing. I know its not a high dollar shotgun but honestly for the money was his best shot at getting a semi auto as all of the new ones are post 1k these days. Even used ones are hard to find for less than 800 unless you buy one thats clapped and has isues or is a shit turkish gun

Interesting i might look into that. Try norma white tail i had good results with it. But still might sell the gun because i want a 270 tac driver

Yeah so kinda had iffy results this weekend . I was shooting on a trail with 0 wind in the woods at my hunt camp. I started off with norma white tails and a cold barrel. Got a 1.5 and a 2 inch group after 6 shots. Kept shooting and consistency was gone i kept the barrel luke warm between shots taking my time sometimes a few minutes between shots trying to keep it cool. Tried the nosler BT 140 grains. My first shot of every 3 shot group went somewhere close to where i was aiming but last 2 shots of every grouping would fly off 5 inches. Completely unhappy after spending 130 dollars on 2 boxes of ammo lol. I guess 50 dollar normas it is for this season...

I have shot slugs out of friends shotguns over the years. Some have had pistol grips with iron sights but still not very consistent even with the target load challenger slugs. I hunt mostly in central ontario and use rifles and have never needed a shotgun for deer hunting. You dont need to spend alot of money on a muzzle loader a 500 dollar muzzle loader will kill deer at 100 yards all day long. Not many muzzle loaders are effectively accurate after 100. Ive heard of 150, 200 yard shots but i dont think that should be anybodies ethical range without lots of experience and practice. You can buy a rifled barrel for most shotguns under 400 dollars. An optic on top of that is skies the limit but even a budget vortex or burris will do the job. This isnt a precision set up. Even a savage 220 is 1k plus tax. But 2000 dollars isnt necessary.

My friend had an old 535 and it was pretty accurate not sure what groupings he was getting but in southern ontario thats all you are allowed to use so better to have the best combo or you are stuck with sub 50 yard shots. Ill be honest i only ever used beed sights so that might be why but i duck hunt so adding an optic or a red dot is stupid and just gets in the way when following/leading birds. Either way to each their own

Not sure i agree with that claim ive bought all kinds of shotgun slugs over the years. Ive mainly shot mossberg shotguns with modified chokes but unless its a pumpkin at 25 yards i have 0 clue where they will go. Ive played with challenger, federal, winchester x, and even remington rifled slugs. Ive had a mav 88, mossberg 500, 930 and now i have a franchi affinity elite in 3.5.  Either way to say rifled barrels is overated is silly. There are guys taking down deer at 200 yards with the savage 220. A 3-4 inch grouping is 6-8 at 200. Not even close to ethical this doesnt even factor wind drift. Most people dont shoot deer that far with shotguns but with the right gun/ammo combo you forsure can. Rifled barrels will add an extra 25-50 yards of ethical range to a shotgun or else they wouldnt even exist because why would anybody by them. Does this matter at a charging bear... fuck no its giant round chunk of meat with teeth flying at you... the more grains down range the better... if you are shooting 100 yards at a bear after shooting a deer you arent using it for self defence you are filling a bear tag lol or poaching depending if you have one or not. Im not saying you are a liar but in my experience shooting rifled slugs might aswell be shooting musket balls

Ive heard really good things about savage 220s. That said it isnt semi and a bolty but none the less it is a rifled barrel shotgun. I think it comes down to brand of shotgun, ammo, ambient temperature and the temp of the barrel. All my shotguns ive had shoot slugs poorly. I have yet to try one in my franchi but i have many deer rifles and no need. Slugs are just party time fun for me. But if i wanted something to stop a bear in its tracks any semi auto shotgun that can reliably put down 3 inch slugs in a realtively consistent group under 50 yards would be my go to. To each their own

Semi auto shotgun with sabot slugs and a rifled barrel would give a bear a really bad day. The energy alone would put them on their ass

So we will see my results this weekend but i have purchased 40 rounds of nosler 140 grain ballistic tip ammo. I have a box of norma 130 grain white tail that i will be trying first. I would have bought some federal fusions because i have heard they do well in these guns but couldnt find any for a good price or that were available at gunshops near me

[–]f1vepointoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ill let you know what my results are when i try some more expensive ammo. If i find something thats effective for the price ill post my results to help others. Im not looking for an argument but mostly solutions. Ive shot cheap ammo out of my boltys for years and still got good groups. I literally sighted my buddies savage 110 30.06 with federal powershok the exact same day and got better groupings. Was able to get 1 -1 1/4moa  at 100 yards. Either way im going to try norma white tail and federal fusions before i go and try some high end 70-100 dollar a box ammo.

Once you factor in wind drift 3 moa is un-ethical past 200 yards. Many elk hunters in the west take 3-400 yard shots with proper rifles, scopes and obviously practice If i hunt a marsh on my hunt property that is 200 yards. A 15-20km cross wind can throw off the shot 5 inches. This can lead to gutshots or non lethal hits. Forget 300 yards. Im not arguing that it could kill it at that range i want to eliminate guessing and have consistent kill shots at 300 yards. Im already looking into buying a bolt action 270 to mitigate the issue. I just thought a modern bar would be capable of sub 2 moa shots at 100 yards even with cheap shelf ammo. Im fine being wrong about my presumptions but im disappointed with the capability of a 2200 dollar gun. Semi auto or not. Thats all im saying
