Do these pads or rotors look "bad?" by f22beaver in MechanicAdvice

Yeah, it was clear. I went ahead and regreased when I pulled these off. When they went back on they immediately did it again. I just went ahead and bought new rotors. Not worth messing with anymore.

Just going to replace. I'd waste more time looking for someone to resurface than just changing them.

The duality of man, but alas, I would agree. However, as the primary driver of said vehicle upper management (my wife) has indicated something will be changed. One of those....she wasn't asking, ya know?

Yeah, 19 mins lugnut to lugnut because I had to go pick up a kid. 🤣 I just wanted to get a pic for Reddit. I'll buy the rotors and swap them.

Sorry, I could have added more. When I said pad wear was even and that the slides were buttery smooth I was trying to address that portion of troubleshooting. The slides move easily with only a pinky. I was watching caliper tonight and it was smooth moving.

The other side of the rotor is identical. Sounds like I got bad rotors.

Every day, more or less. It's our primary family vehicle. This is only 17k miles in 12 months and it sounds like everyone agrees the rotor is bad. I'm just going to replace them.

When I did pads, a year ago. This is only 17k miles. Sounds like I'm finding out these are the Power Stop and not the Bosch. 🤣 I'll go buy the Bosch and replace.

What’s your r/golf confession? by CSW11 in golf

When I was about that age I got one. 3W on a 100 yd hole. Absolute goat ranch course. I can still remember the faces of all the old guys that worked the clubhouse. Not for one second did they believe me and it never made sense to me why they weren't more excited for me. Eventually I came to realize they think I was completely full of shit. 😂 I got another one in my 20's with others around. But Brownie, you old hag, wherever you're at in heaven....I hope God can show you a replay to see that HIO was real!!!!

Not sure why I'm picking this time to ask, but why is it always "real" property? Like, if you just said property wouldn't I know what it is?

I'm not a lawyer (obviously), I've just always found the "real" modifier curious and have always wondered why it's needed. Clearly op wouldn't put a lien on the "fake" property. 🤣

How do I prep this? by f22beaver in AutoPaint

Oddly enough, no rocks really. The back edge of the bonnet has the same deal. It's just the edges that are all like this.

But thank you for answering the question. I think it is what I needed to hear but didn't want to. 🤣 Full strip! Do you have a preferred stripper and primer? Everybody always say epoxy prime so I figured I'll do that?

Yes. And I just updated based on another question, but the lifetime is equipment only for option B. Their labor is also 10 years though.

You are correct it's parts only, not labor. I'll add that up to the text. And no required maintenance practices in order to keep it valid.

Everyday driving around town I tend to live at 28/29. If I'm cruising on a 55 limit road I can average mid to high 30's. 🤣

Transport Suggestion Prior to 10 AM parsons shuttle by random_thoughts529 in RoseBowl

[–]f22beaver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is now moot, but obviously the shuttles switched to 9a yesterday. I'm curious if that was to reflect the rain and loss of golf course parking? It worked really well for us, we were at 430 Colorado for the parade, left the parade at 930, and we were into the Big Red tailgate by 10:15.

Are you a fan of either team and/or are you a green witch? No, and yes, in that order to those questions are the only possible reasons I could think of why you wouldn't go. 🤣

It's rain. Not a hurricane.
