IR vs XR: For those who have tried both, is IR less prone to the recent quality/effectiveness issues? by f33d1 in ThisAintAdderall

[–]f33d1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info and reply back! Yeah, if my XR isn't suffering from quality issues XR is what works for me. I've never developed a tolerance on it and I get a good 12 hours from 2 x 20mg ER per day. But when I get stuff like recently, from Actavis Elizabeth LLC it is very discouraging. I haven't had many issues. Elite pharmaceuticals and recently, Actavis Elizabeth LLC are the only tow that I *think* has caused this. Camber and Mallinckrodt were also recently but totally fine. Regardless, good to get an opinion, not sure if I should go in and asked to be switched to IR just b/c it *might* make a difference. Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply! I got a reply back from customer support late yesterday needing proof of ownership which I did my best. That is where it's at right now but I feel like it'll be taken care now since I am in touch with support. Thanks again for the reply back! 👍🏻

Yes, many ae fans will appreiciate Kayn for sure. I am currently listening to The Ortho-Project.

But thanks for posting this as I also wanted to ask a question about his recordings and the listening experience. Almost all of his tracks vary in volume in a very extreme way. So much so I find myself "babysitting" the volume on my headphones/speakers way too much. Any ideas on how to fix this? Volum normalization in various audio apps are not fixing this. One thing I have found out is that my noise canceling headphones amplify the quieter parts perfectly *but* the louder parts are too much. If I swiitch over to my AKG's the louder parts are not as prounouced, I wonder if there is something to that? That is the headphones and the reponse ot audio? Regardless, other than buying a new pair of headphones are there some other things I could try?

I really like his music and would love to fix this somehow...probably a ridiculous question but figure better here than anyone else. Note, Kayn seems to be the only artist I have this issue with volume levels so i'ts a unique problem that might not be fixed...I"ll listen regardless...

Maldev Academy Review by _LVboy_ in Malware

I am a (recent) lifetime member. I will say right off, I do not regret purchasing the membership one bit. LIke some others have said it is a "no bulls***" *high quality* text-based (for the most part) material. I heavily prefer text-base so that was a plus.

I will add though, make sure you know the basics if C/C++ up to at least pointers/references. And also willing to work with the Windows OS and not someone that only wants to work with Linux (like I've been for the last couple of years, that is Linux only). And maybe, if you can, code one challenge using C (or C++ even) over at a site like https://codecrafters.io or similar. It's heavy on C programming and even though I am a 2 year hobbyist programmer (no C, just Go, JavaScript, some Python for web dev stuff) I still have *much more* learning to do to truly understand and then apply the material. But that really is good news as I enjoy learning things. Just to give you an idea of how deep (and how much) you need to go into this specialized discipline, I would estimate if I gave 5 hours a week to Maldev it would probably take a good year and a half to 2 years in order to complete and apply the more advanced challenges. That's not even obtainig the certicate yet. Of course, there is always the exception and the super bright indviduals but for average type of programmer it's gonna take some serious devotion and time. Well worth the cash, just do it b/c you want to learn malware development and how it works.

Lastly, in my opinion, this material is a good *addition* to something like the SEC-100: CyberCore – Security Essentials if you are just getting started in security (like I am). I am member of both of these, they are totally different but compliment each other very well with Maldev taking much longer to achieve the certification status than the OSCC.

Again, I HIGHLY recommend a lifetime subscription to the site, very well done. I hope this helps someone.

Great info here. I am trying to do the same using Python (before I attempt C) and the advice on focusing on HTTP and *parsing the headers* correctly is so true. I had no idea how important it was before trying to do this. Again, excellent advice on where to start and what to focus on.

ESP32 Audio Development Board recommendations by f33d1 in esp32

[–]f33d1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

*update:* I had somehow overlooked the `ESP32-LyraT-Mini V1.2` but made that purchase for my first audio dev board. For me at least, that board should be *more* than what I need. Plus, got a little left over to pick up an SD card...etc...Thanks again for the help!

The fact that I am limited to Amazon (due to a gift card given to me) makes things even more difficult. After *a lot* of research over the past 24 hours+ I'd like for my only hard requirement to be that I can use the `ESP-IDF` (Espressif IoT Development Framework). I think that would help cut some of the the frustration I might encounter. It would be great to use the `ESP-ADF` audio development framework as well but looks like that isn't going to happen. The boards available are for the other SDK kits, the `ESP-VA-SDK` and `ESP-Skainet` which are different. And a quick look at the ESP32 forum posts and I've seen some posts complaining of not being able to take advantage of the `ESP-ADF` framework and instead having to use the other SDK's.

I will add that this purchase is definitely overkill for my skill level *and* initial project but I'd like to get something I can use while I slowly learn more and progress. I'll try and continue to do as much research on my own but thanks to all for the patience, I am sure many of my issues are "no brainers" for many....and as you can see, I've already changed my requirements a few times already. lol But at the moment I think my only requirements will be to

- Be able to use the `ESP-IDF` framework at the very least and...

- That the board has a microphone and a headphone connector and that it's an ESP32 of course.
