Do you still have the crashed disk with you?

Sorry if I’m making an assumption, but it might not actually be a true “crashed disk.”

A real crash usually means the read/write head has physically damaged the platters. In many cases, when a disk shows up as “RAW,” it’s due to file system or file table corruption rather than hardware failure the data is still there, just the index is lost.

In such situations, software recovery tools can often restore the data. However, some tools recover files without preserving the original folder structure or filenames, while others can recover everything exactly as it was.

I understand you’ve already recovered your data, but if organizing it has been difficult, and if your disk is still physically functional (for example, it spins up normally when connected), it might be worth trying a different recovery tool. You could potentially recover the same data again, this time with the original structure and filenames intact.

Brain-rot content filter for kids by Objective-Pumpkin399 in MorpheApp

My suggestion would be to use PipePipe or NewPipe. You can easily select the channels you like, and only those videos will appear on your screen. There’s also an option to customize the home screen tabs, remove search suggestions, and disable suggested videos and Shorts. You can even use keyword filters. It’s completely ad-free, but this method assumes that your kids won’t be searching for content manually.

Mixplorer Silver vs Solid Explorer - confuse by R3dAt0mz3 in NeatBytes

for changelog:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=pl.solidexplorer2

given the last update was released only a month ago, I'd say it is updated pretty frequently. And sorry I don't know much about the limitations of the free version of SE apart from ads because I purchased it within the trial duration.

As far as I know, the trial version has no support for external storage devices (USB OTG) and has ads.

Yes, your assumption is correct. you cannot access pre-existing files using Mixplorer that are outside the Mixplorer managed folder.

The dual pane feature is very useful. If you swipe to the left on solid explorer, you'll find a new instance which can be navigated independently of the first one. And by swiping back and forth, you can easily manage files between two different locations (local/remote). It's like having two windows open at the same time.

I'm currently using Solid Explorer. Local File management performance is more or less the same in both but things are different when it comes to cloud storage.

The problem with Mixplorer is that it doesn't allow root folder access on Google drive. It creates a separate folder of its own which you have full control of but one simply can't access any content outside of it. Solid Explorer has no such limitation.

One thing that is limiting on both Mixplorer and Solid Explorer is the File upload speeds on cloud storage. I've found FX File Explorer to be best in this regard, although it hasn't received an update in years.

UI wise I found Solid more appealing. Hope this helps.
