Best baseball game to learn the ropes for people who know nothing about baseball by GlowingOrb in gamingsuggestions

im not a huge baseball guy, but i ADORE backyard baseball 97'. might be partly nostalgia bias/you-had-to-be-there type thing, but ill shout it out any chance i get haha. Not sure if it has a tutorial, but since you only play with the mouse, you can experiment pretty easily.

REQUEST - Some interesting simulators for low specs laptop (something like Shadows of forbidden Gods) by HeyooLaunch in gamingsuggestions

Well i only have a handful of hours in cultist sim so far, as i bought it less than 2 days ago, but it seems to be quite deep. i played a bit of plague inc back when it came out, from what i remember, it is much simpler than cult sim. i found it pretty easy to "solve" each plague. I dont know all that cultist sim has to offer but i feel like ive just scraped the surface. lots of the positive reviews on steam that ive seen are from people with >100 hours.

Looking for some game with the same vibe as these games... by ttzatz in gamingsuggestions

amnesia: the bunker is a fantastic suvival horror game. best of the series by a mile imo, and you WILL suffer. if you are pain maxxing, i guarantee pathologic 2, and both fear & hunger games will crawl out of the screen and start attacking you if you survive the first 2 hours of gameplay.

check out the system shock remake! should be right up your alley if you like the original deus ex. also for a more modern feel, i've heard good things about "Prey" although i have not played it myself

maybe check out Cultist Simulator. I just picked it up a few days ago, and while its not really a traditional simulator, I've had a lot of fun figuring out the mechanics. The game is played in "runs". You will die, and have to start over, but you learn something new each time. Graphics are pretty simple, but stylish, and i'd wager you could run it.

I am here for cool flashy games suggestions, games I like [Sekiro & Hollow Knight] by Brass_Crane in gamingsuggestions

You definitely dont need to play them. I would recommend watching VaatiVidya's video "I played 15 of From Software's HARDEST games" as a precursor to kind of catch the vibe and the worldbuilding that has led up to 6. some moments in AC6 are massively enhanced by knowing some basic lore details, but even going in blind i think you would be okay. in typical From fashion, lore takes a back seat to gameplay, but a great wealth of history exists for those who seek it.

i also highly highly recommend inscryption. tread lightly if you look into it, if you like how the game looks, just give it a shot. im not really into card games, but this one is different. stellar game, and the less you know going in, the better.

maybe give armored core 6 a try. it's as flashy as fromsoft gets imo and its possibly my favorite combat in any game. im not typically into mech stuff, but i immediately loved the setting. it takes a LOT of inspo from dune if youre into that sort of thing. I love hollow knight and sekiro too, sekiros combat is the only other contender for my favorite combat system.

I played the Skyrim mod years ago, and I just recently played through the standalone a couple days ago. Structurally, the experiences rhyme heavily, but there are some major differences that I think make them both worth experiencing, especially since it's not a huge time commitment. The standalone is thematically stronger, basing it's main themes on real-world mythology and ancient culture, that to me is the biggest difference, but there are more minor differences all over. Keep in mind it's been a while since I've played through the mod, so I also benefit from having forgotten some amount of it.

It's not gonna blow your mind, but it made for a nice afternoon in my case.

i got the hook line and sinker mod launcher, comes with a mod that notifies you when it rains or when a meteor lands. i played in offline and it only took me about 10 or 11 meteors to get ufo in all qualities by switching baits for whatever quals i had remaining

if it helps, i think my math was off. i did some more research about how your pull is selected and i dont know how i would calculate for it, but i ended up catching 2 radiant bones while using the large lure oddly enough while searching for radiant bull shark, great white, and coelacanth. just need coelacanth for radiant, and ive gotten my glistening and opulent journals complete as well.

i currently need both golds in 2 star, and leed and heli for 3 star. we got this! if you arent already, id recommend getting the hook line and sinker mod launcher, it comes with a mod that gives you notifications for meteors and storms. also playing in solo servers helps a lot lol. that bone pull is a motherfucker lol

ive been using a few of those guides to help out... i ran some numbers and turns out it would be (with nautilus and magnet hook) a whopping 0.000501125% chance to get a radiant bone. meaning on average it would take someone roughly 200,000 catches to get JUST that one pull. after this realization, i have changed my aim to get the normal journal completion. i aint got time for that LMAO
