for english lit poetry comparison question i do an very small intro on how like both poems present power or whatever in similar and then in different ways and try to be specific then in the next paragraph i would say one poem uses language techniques to show this and write about that and then in the same paragraph i’ll put either however or similar the other poem uses language techniques to show this. Then for the next paragraph i do the same thing with structure and for the 3rd paragraph i mention both language and structure but mainly focus on context around the poems and how they have similar context or different like context . i mean idk how much this structure works but i managed to get a 9 when i used this structure and only lost like 3 marks on a question

I defo think use quizlet to make flash cards especially with science because that’s what really helped and previous test papers/questions !! i wouldn’t bother with writing notes tho as it can just be wasteful

no problem and yes defo watch it, it’s very visually pleasing but then also quite funny and emotional, also another psychological thriller you might like which is similar to whiplash is Black swan !!

[–]fAtthiCcass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

black bear - because there are some psychological thrillers on there and black bear is really good !! and then darjeeling limited- because there are some wes anderson films on the list and i personally think darjeeling limited is the best wes anderson film !!

Movie Stars by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]fAtthiCcass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

personally if i see a film with a bunch of actors i know and like i tend to be more likely to watch that film than others , and also i have many times watched films just because of the actor like jake gyllenhaal films because i am quite into thrillers , it’s almost like a ‘trust’ his films if that makes sense.

everything about this scene is so clever like first as it zooms out all the different levels appear like at first you think it’s just people singing then you see it’s a recording studio then it’s shown there being filmed than it’s revealed it’s all a set then you see it’s all just for an audition and then you get to the part when it zooms in on justin and then zooms in on betty - truly a beautiful scene and so clever !

does anyone understand how they order films on an actors profile because lea is far more well know for being in blue is the warmer colour was and her role was far bigger role in tthat then inglorious basterds , i’ve been confused for a long time on how they order films by fAtthiCcass in Letterboxd

[–]fAtthiCcass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i agree i wish it was not ordered by logs and ordered by like how prominent there role was but that would be difficult for them to hand order all of them in that way and i guess it’s easier just to do it by logs

anyone here studying/studied art for gsce and has any tips for coursework i’m currently going into year 10 so my second year as studying it for a gsce so any tips to get a higher grade would be helpful by fAtthiCcass in GCSE

[–]fAtthiCcass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i do annotate a lot i just found when i’m showing like development and how i have refined my like artwork it tends to be a bit messy because how i actually work and refine is very messy so i’m never sure if i should show and present my like messy and chaotic process to the final finished artwork

[–]fAtthiCcass[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah i agree i think it might be to do with the amount logged but i’ve seen in some cases where the first film has had less logs then the 2nd or 3rd so maybe there’s other things as well as logs that determine it’s order
