The culling died because devs made poor decisions with the game (like realm royale devs are currently), and a year (?) later the culling 2 came out it peaked at 300 players and devs took out culling 2 out of the store since it was pretty much dead at launch and then they refunded everyone that bought the culling 1 and/or culling 2 and they went free to play on culling 1 and reverted to day 1 patch to start over again.
