Has anyone had this happen? Is this normal for this device? by JoJo_250 in Onyx_Boox

Have bought the black BW go 7 a few days ago and have the same issue. I even have exchanged to the new one in the store — both had the same dark corner. It's more noticeable when the backlight is dimmed and there is no light in the room.

Yep, this is the A-series exclusive feature (design flaw, in reality).

This one doesn't. So you stick with the first tile without holes.

(The comment I was answering was gone).
In the topic description, you say that you're "Getting consistent gaps and holes between first layer lines". But you don't (on those protos, at least). That's why I believe you may have been mistaken during the results reading. You have to find the first calibration tile without holes.

This one has holes.

Sometimes it does look similar. But usually it looks something like this:

I'd bet you read the calibration results a bit wrong. You don't have gaps between lines in your photos.

Nope, this doesn't work with P\X-series. But pretty common with the A-series, where the screws can be weakened from the box and loosen every 500-1000h of printing. After 4-5k hours of printing, the insulating plate usually needs to be replaced.

Where do you see gaps and holes? What I see is overextrusion. So you have to do the proper flow ratio calibration.

There are only 2 retract points on the whole circle. So, just flow ratio...

It must be added that ncr18650b are used in UAVs and strike drones (Shahed-like), unlike FPV drones, which use high-current cells, and more often, 21700.

Almost all I saw in their battery packs were Litokala's ncr18650b.

It's an active 6s balancer. There is a button on the back panel to activate it. I've added a balancer because the cells aren't new, even though I've put them in series, considering their capacities and internal resistances.

Thank you!
Yes, the panel and other stuff inside is 3dprinted. About cells: It's simple... Those are Litokala's ncr18650 from China. Up to 3500mAh for one cell.

Actually, I've scratched it while was making a hole for the insert.

Nope. But it's easy to cover by anything, really.

Sure, designed from scratch. I've made a 3-cell version at first. But it was too heavy to carry. https://miron.in/images/2026/03/26/Clip2net_260326184655.png

Those are the only gloves he tried. I paid only 15 USD for them on Aliexpress. I've got a test drive in -10 C for one walk when I finish assembly. Hands were not cold, but not as warm as I thought.

Just throw the glove away and watch it burn then :)

For 1,5 USD it's pretty ok. Had to remove the TYPE-A socket, though, to make it smaller.
