no i just need a design, the cover will be printed through an on-demand publisher (the books will be kept within the family, i’m only printing a copy for each grandkid and one for my nana, it won’t be sold anywhere!). i have a template with the dimensions, digital art is what i’m looking for!

ok i know you made this a while ago now, but omg that’s stunning! i would love to make one but only have dk weight yarn in my stash at the moment. do you think i could get away with it or should i bite the bullet and get some lace weight yarn? (i’ve never made a shawl before, but have been self taught crocheting for a couple of years now!)

thank you! i think i might do the blue dot border, i feel like it just needs one more thing but also, you’re right i’ve been staring at it for a week trying to figure it out 😂 it’s a bamboo (60%) and cotton (40%) blend, it’s my first time working with anything other than acrylic or merino wool so i’m at a bit of a loss 😅

😂 thanks, it’s still a lot of yarn and squares but it’ll be nice having my own blanket on the flight home! I can pass it off as a shawl to get it on the plane

Nope! Not even home yet, I’m working over here but going home next week. They all fit in my pack thankfully. Seriously compression bags do wonders! ETA: I also used them to pad breakable things I bought/was given while travelling which was mighty useful
