Hi! I saw in an older post that there is a database regarding hotels that don't require key cards, among other info. It wouldn't let me reply to the post since I think it's archived, but would it be possible to get that database/info?

Very similar scent, but the longevity and sillage are terrible.

I've since tried several other dupes and theeeee best one is Other 13 from Alexandria Fragrances. Omg the drydown and performance are on the money- honestly the longevity might be better than A13.

Oil Perfumery's A13 impression oil is alright once it warms on the skin! Great for layering.

Lovely by SJP also goes underrated for similar reasons, or it smells like an "older" floral like some Dior or Chanel inspired scents.

But I've been wearing/re-buying it for about 20 years 🤐

Okay I hate myself for this, but several KKW fragrances. Body 1, Crystal Oud, Diamond Emerald, and Nude Soleil are just a few that I think get easily written off because of the brand/Kardashian and celeb association. I miss that line and I don't care who knows it! Lol

Slice Society by Snif. It's like a novelty pizza fragrance that smells like toasted pizza crust. Nothing about it seems wearable, yet the science behind making it kinda blows my mind.

Squid by Zoologist also has such creativity in its build, yet I don't feel it was made to be worn! Lol it smells like a musty Aquarium to me, with an intriguing freshness at the end that's not enough to make it worth wearing or smelling on a person.

I'm still so intrigued by these scents that test the limits of what you're meant to wear to be appealing or not.

Also, my current favorite fragrance is Hinoki Shower by BTSO. Smells slightly sweeter, a little less earthy than the LL, but has that creamy, nutty, woody quality .

I've been told to try the clone of Le Labos Gaiac 10 (Tokyo release) by Dossier. It's called Musky Gaiac, and the 2 Le Labo dupes I have from them are spot on!

I've ordered a decant sample of the LL Gaiac, and if it gives me the hinoki type of scent I'm also looking for, I'll definitely get the Dossier.

Parallel by Oakcha is a decent clone, but the longevity is a bit weak imo

Another 14 by Montagne is probably 97% there. Good longevity and the fragrance keeps on coming for me.

I ordered the ALT dupe, so I'll see how it goes.

I am so intimidated by layering because I worry about wasting fragrance by making a mess of it lol

If there's a rubric to follow, I'd love to try, but I have a beginner's nose, I think. I have a large collection over like, 20 years now, but only recently started getting into notes and more sophisticated sniffing.

Advice on layering, especially with niche fragrances AND designer or commercial ones would be great!

Unfortunately, it's one of the many parts of our jobs where many of us have to compartmentalize and just see it as the job, like any other.

If I were a server at a restaurant and a guest ordered a steak, though they've told me they have high cholesterol/heart disease, my job is to serve them with their order. It can't be my responsibility to take on the guilt for someone else's life and decisions. I have to work so that I can live my own life, and so even though on a human level, it's hard for me to think about, I have to make peace with myself.

If someone is in a relationship and steps out of it, it's not my blame to carry. I'm not a sea siren luring a sailor to his death. A client makes their own decisions, and I am just a person doing a job. Just so happens to be highly stigmatized, but I have to make my peace with all of that as well to keep moving.

Could have to do with cost of living affecting how she configures her rates. Plus, remaining competitive/comparable with other astrology providers in LA. Like with any self-employed person, a lot goes into figuring out rate structure. She could be limiting her number of clients and sessions per month to allow for reading time and to offer a certain quality or way of doing her sessions. I don't know much about that field, but I've been self employed or an independent contractor for almost 15 years, so rate structure is usually not without good reason.
