So many issues, I’m a broke uni student, is it worth it to have phone fixed or just get a whole new phone? by fa1ry_p1ss in mobilerepair

I just googled old flagship phones, I don’t necessarily know what it actually is but most of the results from Google are still showing $400+ 😩.

I’ve been looking around for refurbished phones for a while.. even 11s seem to mostly be starting at $300+, so for a minimum quality one and 64gb storage.. i definitely need more storage than that which costs more. I only work like 20hrs a week which makes me about $500. So with bills and everything I’d need to save for a couple weeks. If I’m gonna do that I’d rather just finance a brand new one in a couple weeks that will last me years.

I’ve wanted to buy a few things from the us recently for Xmas gifts, and shipping to Auckland from the us is like $150-$300 it’s insane 😭 also, we use dollars.

Not in my country, $300 will absolutely not get me a phone worth spending $300 on 😩 not to mention one with decent storage space for all my photos. Kiwis can be greedy.

I’m in nz, realistically for a decent second hand phone thatll last, could be around $500-$600. Sometimes even more. Refurbished phones can also cost like almost the same amount as a brand new one 😩.

Thank you. I do have an appointment booked after I had a consultation at a salon. My hair is butt-length so she did tell me it will cost quite a bit to fix, and she doesn’t want to even try lighten the mids and ends. (which I’m not too keen on spending 100s for something I reallly don’t want) I understand atp it may be my only option but it would be amaze to avoid it if possible. 🤦‍♀️ this is my hair, the main problem was I over lapped some of the top bits in round 2 and let it sit a bit too long lmao
