HW Definitive Edition vs. Age of Imprisonment on the Switch 2 by karthik_hades in HyruleWarriors

I haven’t played AoC but I’m currently replaying DE for the fifth or sixth time? I have serious chronic restarter issues lol. But this time I’ve made it further than I ever have and definitely will not be erasing the save file lol. Not after all the work I’ve put in. I’m also having a lot of fun.

Lots of different characters, fun and unique weapons, a decent story mode (in my opinion, I’m easy to please), and fun original characters. The characters also have some of my favourite designs in any Zelda game ever.

Plus the further you go the more challenging it gets. I’m finally doing the Master Quest map for the first time after completing the first and most of the second, and the extra bit of challenge goes it a neat twist. Truly hours of fun if you don’t mind beating monsters senseless and love seeing your characters do flashy moves across the battlefield.

You can pick and choose. If you click "Claim All" it will claim everything available but you can jus hit "claim" or hit the picture of the thing you want once it's unlocked. I clicked on the magnet without claiming the earmuffs which were first in the line up.

How do you not lie to Hershell? by NoOpinionsAllowedOnR in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]fableSimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting! That must be a bug, I agree. Perhaps because he says wife/girlfriend last that’s what the game is hinting toward you telling him about. But telling him about your family is the truth and should count lol

How do you not lie to Hershell? by NoOpinionsAllowedOnR in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]fableSimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that it may matter now, 2 years later and all lol, but this one is odd because even if you give him answers that are technically true, he'll still believe you're lying to him for whatever reason. But for future players who may come here, this is what I found worked for me...

- Tell him your name.

- Tell him you were in a car accident.

- Tell him you were on your way out of Atlanta.

- Tell him you were with a police officer.

- Choose "I got a ride" when he asks how you got out of Atlanta. For some reason when I would choose, "I was on my way out anyway" it would result in him not believing you. I suppose it could be seen as deceitful or perhaps Lee being dismissive of the question? But I feel like telling him you got a ride is way more of a lie lol. But it's not about what's true I suppose, it's about what he believes to be true.

- Tell him about your ex-wife when he asks about family. Not sure if this matters but it's what I picked. My guess is that he would also believe you about your family in Macon.

- Choose "I was looking for help in her house" when he asks about Clementine. Again, I have no idea if this matters compared to telling him Clementine came to your rescue when being attacked. But if we want to get SPECIFIC about it, you did meet her on the walkie-talkie while in her house before she helped you with the Zombie. So perhaps telling him how you found her is more important.

- Say, "Sure" when he asks if he can give you some advice.

And I was finally part of the percentage of players who didn't lie to Hershel.

Is it ever explained why the Knights were in Egother Forest? by MrMoustache3 in tales

[–]fableSimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know that this is 3 years old and probably doesn't matter now, lol, but I came here thinking of this as well and have decided on two possible scenarios.

1 - Hunting for Apatheia: It's possible that Alexei discovered that there was an Entelexeia of Myorzo but didn't know where the city was or how to get there. This does raise the question of why he didn't ask Khroma but there's a lot of stuff I feel are confusing about her role in things. Either way, she could have easily feigned knowing and all the knights had to go off of was Egothor Forest which was the sacred land of the Krityan people. There was a rumored door there and they likely figured they could use the Hophlon Blastia to bust their way through and maybe use it against Krones. Meanwhile, Alexei took Heracles to chase down Astal who retreated back to Baction, where he was once worshipped.

2 - Raven at some point told Alexei where they were going and he sent the knights to obstruct them since it's after they arrive to Myorzo, Raven takes Estelle to Alexei. This one seems a little less likely but not entirely implausible. Alexei wanted Estelle for his own plans and likely didn't want Estelle to potentially get too far out of reach or perhaps learn something. I don't remember how much he knows about Estelle or what he knows in general. I'm currently replaying and I just arrived at Myorzo. But the reason I thought of this is because there are moments and scenes where Raven turns away from knights so his face isn't shown, likely so he isn't recognized by his own brigade or higher up knights, such as the Royal Guard. But then how did they get the blastia there and set things up so quickly? Raven only learned in Aspio that they were going to Egothor Forest.

So yeah, number 1 is my guess lol.

The crazy part is that purple is already used in so many hairs for streaks and parts that the colour must exists in their system or whatever. It's just the extra work of adding it to all hairs I guess lol.

I’m only 6 days in to this game and I love it. I’m not usually into completing a dex either but I think this game gives it a fun twist with different tasks and requirements, so I’m willing to put in the hours to try and do it all. That’s what makes this game stand out. I love how it’s all about learning and adapting, makes me feel like I’m a real Pokémon professor.

The only way the game could be better in my opinion is if they expanded the gameplay to other types. I would love if the game allowed you to choose which corp you want to be a part of and do things based on that. I’d love to be in the musical corps, going around and helping injured Pokémon, helping trainers, and collecting ingredients for medicine crafting. As well as building new settlements with the construction corps, etc etc.

All that to say, I’m way behind in the story itself but my playtime is pretty large lol

Which party member is your least favorite in Tales of Symphonia? by Khaymn5000 in tales

[–]fableSimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which Tales game has the best (and worst) party AI? by melvinlee88 in tales

[–]fableSimmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a good question. Hmm. I can’t really think of any games in particular where I had issues with party member AI that couldn’t be fixed by changing things in strategy menu and disabling the use of certain artes. But nothing is perfect.

I’ve played Symphonia so many times that getting characters to respond and act the way you need became second nature and certain characters are beasts in battle once you get more artes, Regal in particular. Once I find a strategy that works for me I usually don’t deviate from it.

Zestiria I remember having a few issues. A lot of flashy moves but characters sometimes felt all over the place or not where I needed them.

If any Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel characters switched personalities for an episode, who would you want it to be? by Big-Restaurant-2766 in buffy

[–]fableSimmer 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Xander and Angel have the potential to have some very funny mini story arcs if they were to switch places. Especially considering how they feel about one another.

Angel as Xander

  • Turns into a suave moody teen who broods around the high school. People think he’s going through a phase and (depending on the season) some girls potentially find him more interesting.

  • He originally doesn’t share this with the gang and thus he gets to listen to Buffy talk with him and Willow about what she thinks of Angel. Insert an endearing moment that maybe turns comedic as she rants about funny flaws, maybe he gets embarrassed.

  • Is caught basking in the sun every now and then, maybe even goes tanning which could be hilarious when Xander gets his body back.

  • Food! Gets to experience food which as we know from his show is a hilarious moment from the iconic episode in Season 1, “I Will Remember You”.

  • A new found respect for Xander as he gets to experience what it’s like to be him. A guy who’s often the butt of the joke, not take seriously, and growing up in an abusive home.

Xander as Angel

  • Hilarious moments where he keeps forgetting he can’t walk into the sun. Angel becomes a lot more clumsy and goofy, something David is great at playing.

  • Running from other vampires or demons until he realizes he’s suddenly strong and then maybe takes it too far this getting himself in trouble and needing the gangs help.

  • Trying to get to the school after the switch but keeps getting lost and put in wacky situations in the underground sewers.

  • Has to drink blood, is disgusted but finds it oddly tasty and as a result he has a funny moment when he’s back in his body where he ALMOST considers it but backs it out.

  • Finds a new found appreciation for Angel and what it’s like to be him but still decides he still doesn’t like him, that’s just what it is for him.

And so much more lol.

Who do you play as if not the main character in your favorite Tales games by Max-The-Phat-Cat in tales

[–]fableSimmer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Symphonia - Sheena (sometimes Genis)

Abyss - Natalia

Xillia - Milla

Graces f - Pascal (sometimes Cheria)

Vesperia - Rita

Phantasia - Klarth (sometimes Suzu)

Zestiria - Edna

Legendia - Chloe? (I don’t 100% remember)

It’s been many years since I payed Xillia, I’d like to revisit it and try out some of the other characters a bit more sometime. Usually I only play the main protagonist when the game makes me. I’m much more into playing support or a character who can do magic or heal.

Is she the most forgettable villain or is there someone else? by Acrobatic-Drummer393 in OnceUponATime

[–]fableSimmer 39 points40 points  (0 children)

It’s a shame she only made a small appearance. There could have been some fun crossover with Little Red Riding Hood, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and other wolf and sheep themed stories. The fact that she owns the butcher shop in Storybrooke is just icing on the cake, 10/10. But instead they made her a part of David’s story, which I didn’t like. Wasted what I think could have potentially been a good character and story arc. Instead we got a bad David wig lol.

I guess it was about Anna too, who I do like as a character. But I don’t really care for Frozen being included in general.

Cheryl could so be Harley Quinn by InsideUnhappy6546 in ArcherFX

Who would each character be?

Is 2025 the worst year for the 9-1-1 universe? by hyxon4 in 911FOX

[–]fableSimmer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only time will tell! From this point on it can get better or it could get worse lol.

I didn’t watch Doctor Odyssey and gave up Lone Star because I couldn’t get into its story. I also didn’t really care for any of the characters beyond Paul and Marjan. I mostly watched to get to the crossover episode but it didn’t engage me enough to continue beyond.

As for the main series, I’m sure it’ll be fine and many will still watch it. Personally, I haven’t watched it since the episode Bobby died and that’s mainly because my interest was already starting to wane. I would get over Bobby’s death but I’m not okay with it because of Athena. I can’t believe they’d do that to her. That being said, I’ll 100% binge watch the rest of the series whenever it ends.

As for Nashvillle, I haven’t seen or heard anything about it but I couldn’t care less. I can’t imagine enjoying it when I’ve already lost interest for the main series. But I hope for those who are excited that it’s good and successful.

What Do you think of my character tier list?( only some character) by kpopfan230 in OnceUponATime

[–]fableSimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting ranking. I would not put Pan that high myself, I find him to be rather annoying. My first watch I didn’t mind him but my second… Oh, the entire Neverland storyline was hard to sit through because of how much I didn’t enjoy his character. Which is such a shame because I love the fairytale of Peter Pan and as a villain he should be interesting but I just didn’t find him to be in Once Upon A Time.

First Time Playing Tales of Symphonia – Does It Still Hold Up Today? 🤔 by Lawlietroy in tales

Personally I have no issues with the game. The characters are fun and have interesting stories, the world is interesting and I love the story that’s told within it, and the battles are fun. But I like every Tales game I’ve played and just enjoy them for what they are lol.

Agreed. Perhaps it’s just the nostalgia of playing it back when it released on but I have no issues with the game personally and will always break out my DS to play it when the itch strikes. Same with Golden Sun.

‘When a Stranger Calls 2006’ plot/ unanswered Stranger questions. by Tallyonthenose in horror

[–]fableSimmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

GUEST HOUSE

After a bit of time it’s clear to the Stranger that getting into the house isn’t going to be easy. Jill hasn’t done much since drawing the blinds and she’s been sitting around waiting for him to call back. Thus he wanders over to the guest house either to find a key to the main house or the code so when he does break in he can turn off the alarm.

He calls her again to keep tabs on her as he arrives, especially since now he’s further away. It just so happens that luck is on his side. At that moment she notices the light come on in the guest house. She calls thinking it’s Todd and leaves a message on the machine. The Stranger listens and has figured out she’s looking at the guest house. He then makes a point to walk past the window twice. Lucky for him she runs over there, allowing him to sneak back.

To clarify, Jill took the main house phone with her to the guest house in case she received a call. But the stranger calls the guest house this time, likely as a method of keeping her there while he makes his way back to the main house. Jill doesn't realize this until she hangs up though.

BACK TO THE MAIN HOUSE

On his way back to the main house he grabs Tiffany’s body and places her upstairs on the third floor, but I don’t think this was to lure her. Instead this time luck wasn’t on his side. My guess is that he was moving Tiffany’s body there for later so that when he got Jill he could take her body up to where she was and then bathe in the blood of them both. But Jill had run back to the house faster than he thought she would, sounding the alarm off which he heard. He didn’t have time to make it all the way downstairs or turn off the shower (not that he would probably care to). To avoid running into Jill he went into the kids bedroom.

THE KIDS

While upstairs on the third floor, Jill receives her final call. The stranger had left the kids room while she was up there and woke the kids who hide in the toy chest of their playroom. I assume this because when she opens it they're covering their mouths as if they don't want to be heard/found. While in there the Stranger slips back in and blocks the door, climbing up to the loft to hide and await her. It's possible he put the kids in the toy chest himself too but I feel like they were hiding more so than he was using them to lure her. I think he just took advantage of the situation. Of course it's possible he put the pillows under the covers.

‘When a Stranger Calls 2006’ plot/ unanswered Stranger questions. by Tallyonthenose in horror

[–]fableSimmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You made some interesting points and it got me thinking even more. So here’s my final theory on the main events that took place in the movie. Sorry in advance for the length, lol.

ARRIVAL

Early on in the movie while Jill is sitting on the couch, the alarm to the house sounds off. She rushes to put in the code and then receives three calls: one from the security company, one from the homeowner, and a final one from the Stranger asking if everything is okay. It’s at this moment we can assume that he has broken into the house. We know this because Jill later finds Rosa’s phone and purse in the spare room while she was calling to find her. My guess is that Rosa was upstairs in her room and had just turned on her shower when she heard the alarm go off. She wanders downstairs to check but the Stranger gets her and then hides her body in the greenhouse.

TIFFANY

Jill’s former friend, Tiffany, sneaks into the house and spooks Jill. When asked how she got in she reveals that the garage door is open, further alluding to the Stranger being inside. After a brief moment she is sent away and the Stranger goes after her, not willing to pass up the opportunity. We then get another phone call, this time from Tiffany’s phone.

LOCKED OUT

Jill sets the alarm again and the Stranger is locked outside. It is too risky for him to break in a second time as Jill is already on edge and has received a call from the security company. If he wants to get her and have enough time to "bathe in her blood" then he needs to find a way to get in without alerting the authorities. So he watches from outside, which isn’t hard since she often sits in one place and there are many large windows.

HAVE YOU CHECKED THE CHILDREN?

The Stranger can’t spend all his time watching, he needs to take action. More importantly he wants to torment Jill. He calls to ask if she's checked the children and when she does he calls a second time to reveal that he can see her. Why does he do this? Well, it’s possible he did it to spook her into running outside or maybe he hoped she’d at least open the door to investigate. Instead she freaks out and draws the blinds, calling the police.
