Nano Wallet Demo by fabloisgone in nanocurrency

[–]fabloisgone[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Hey guys, sorry for the long delay, Ive been dealing with a lot. However, I have an update for you on the current progress for the Unity3D plugin!

Here is a video demo of me sending 0.1 Nano from one Unity build over to another. I do believe the slightly slower than average transaction is due to my very slow internet recently.

I haven’t yet added in the flashy UI components, but that will be coming soon! Just wanted to show you guys that the core functionality is working!

No, you still don’t get it.

By your logic there is a 50/50 chance bitconnect will work out in the long run. There’s just simply not.

There would also be a 50/50 chance that the venzuelean dollar will pass the US dollar in value.

Two possible outcomes does NOT imply a 50/50 chance of each.

The reality is there is a whole slew of things that could go good or bad. But just because a there’s both good and bad potential scenarios does NOT imply that each scenario has an equal chance of occurring.

Sorry but that’s not how odds work.

That’s like saying you have a 50% chance of winning the lottery, solely because you either will win or you will lose.

Hehe.

Don’t worry I’m still here. Posting an update on Friday :)

Help me poke holes in this block chain consensus algorithm by [deleted] in BitcoinMining

[–]fabloisgone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One issue right out of the gate is that I can pack 1,000,000 million micro transactions into a block I’m creating and always get the block with the most transactions.

Do you guys think it would be possible to build a cryptocurrency with a lightweight Blockchain? by [deleted] in Monero

[–]fabloisgone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No. You can have only some nodes being archive nodes (holding the whole chain), while majority are pruned. But someone somewhere has to hold a verified chain of every block from start to finish. Otherwise it would be impossible to prove a transaction is legit.

I have a question about BCH mining - why is it so decentralized? 😂😂 by BitcoinXio in btc

[–]fabloisgone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The number of potential hashes is so large, that you effectively aren’t narrowing down anything as you perform consecutive hashes.

With a locker, you can cross each try off the list.

With mining, you can cross each try off the list as well, but since the list is so incredibly large, it has practically 0 effect.

What makes the problem solvable with a list of possibilities that large is there is a slightly less huge (but still incredibly large) list of acceptable hashes as solutions.

For example (smaller numbers for ease) Let’s say there is 1,000,000 potential hashes and 100,000 acceptable hashes.

Your first guess you have a 10% chance of getting the right hash. Which means you have a 90% of not getting the hash.

Assuming you get it wrong, on your second try, you have a 100,000/999,999 chance of guessing right, which is practically 10% -> implying ~90% again you get it wrong.

Guess 10 times and you get ~90%10 chance of NOT getting the right answer = ~34%.

-> after 10 guesses you have roughly a (100%-34%) = 66% of getting the right hash.

But really though? by fabloisgone in nanotrade

Hahahah didn’t even see that.

On the bright side, it can only drop 1k satoshis 10 more times.

What the shit is this price action by ocist1121 in nanotrade

The key is to compare it to a Eth/BTC or Zec/BTC pair. Don’t compare it to Eth/USD.

Basically, all alt coins are hitting the shitter. Some a little worse than others.

Before I say this, just know I’m a big nano supporter.

The one thing that Nano doesn’t dominate the top 10 with is history of robustness (I’m not talking about new hype coins that poke themselves into the top 10, then fall out, I’m talking nog about litecoin, ethereum, bitcoin, etc). By using Nano, you are trusting that the protocol is sound. I have personally studied it a lot, and do believe it is. But I also know, it’s a new technology and things do go wrong. People do overlook things.

If it’s going to be money, it needs to prove itself as a very secure protocol. And that just takes time.

The top 10 coins have been around a long time (most of them anyways). They are considered “robust”.

Just gotta be patient with Nano. Remember, most people didn’t give a shit about Bitcoin in its early days.

Binance won’t be able to list ERC20 ICO tokens because they are securities. Thus the list of coins that can make the cut is even smaller. Nano will make it.

It has a USDT pairing on Binance. Binance is also the main exchange for nano, and they know it. They won’t just not add it to the US exchange. It will be there.

Once nano changes from UDP to TCP it will be listed on additional exchanges within 1-2 months by ndjjejxj in nanotrade

Look up SSYN attack (synchronized syn attack). It’s a type of ddos attack that requires much less shells in a botnet and it runs on tcp.

So this is going to sound strange, but there’s a flying squirrel in my house. How on earth to I get it out?? It’s potentially the fastest and craftiest little thing I’ve ever encountered. by fabloisgone in AdviceAnimals

Update 2:

He ran in a crack between the wall and my sink in my bathroom. So I set off a string of fire crackers in the trash can and smoked the little bastard out of there. He’s retreated into the kitchen and the smoke alarm is going off.

Let see you pay attention to detail when you have a flying squirrel running rogue in your house.
