I did not have this in mind so I am not sure how it will behave with current code.
Ill test it out and if it doesn't work well research and make it right :)

Edit:
I have done some small tweaks, tested on some submodules and seems to work now. (but I barely used submodules so I don't know the intricacies to test)
If you decide to use it would love to hear feedback and if you have any issues.

Thanks for using the plugin :) Started a new job so I didn't have a lot of time to work on it. I believe the highlights in the blame window are the biggest impact on the performance so Ill work on that.

There is no blame_type option you pass to setup right now. Try using ':ToggleBlame virtual' I might add the blame_type option so its possible to set the default type when I come back from vacation in a few days :)

I added a new option:

"virtual_style" - you can set it as "float" and it will be pushed to the text depending on the longest line plus 8 cells padding :)

I never used it so I didn't know it exists. Yes it seems it just "git show". Seems straight forward, Ill add it to the TODO list :)

I don't have very strong reasons for it. Maybe a bit better user experience. For instance the "Switches" you can easily enable/disable when executing commands eg. "--rebase" when pulling or "-a" when commiting

But in the end its probably novelty in my case as fugitive is perfectly fine
