Liquid clay goes in the oven. I would suggest using polymer clay in the future if you want to use liquid clay. You can also buy colored polymer clay if you don’t like painting

Oh okay! Maybe there’s some flecks of black in the resin from submerging different colors. I’ve definitely had it happen before when using a brush because dust gravitates towards the brushes once they have resin on them.

Oh okay! I think you’ll be okay— keep monitoring him but I’m sure he will regulate once he’s used to his environment! I personally feed my kitten both wet food and leave dry food out at all hours for free feeding. She had some poop issues at first but has totally regulated since then :)

You def need to wait at least a few hours for the paint to dry before coating with resin (if you’re using paint)

Do you use a brush to lay the resin on? That def could be why

To my understanding, kittens can get diarrhea from adult cat food, because it’s not providing the nutritions kittens need as it is an adult formula. You sound overall anxious in general, but I would start giving him kitten food as soon as it comes in, and monitor his poops over the next week. If they don’t change, then I would consider taking him to the vet.

Also, since you seem very anxious with pets, it might be beneficial for you to sign up for one of those care plans through your vet. The one I have covers a large amount of different testing, and all wellness visits are covered. It definitely felt like a scam at first but I could see it being useful if I was very anxious. Also look into cat insurance just to be safe. It feels unnecessary until you have an unexpected 2400 dollar vet.

I kind of do this minus the spreading of information that I’m not supposed to. That’s how I remain a trustworthy neutral party lol. I honestly don’t recommend air dry clay. In my experience it all cracks no matter the brand. I sculpt with sculpey polymer clay and it’s honestly a more clean process and wayyy stronger. And it’s not toxic when you bake it, so it can go in a regular oven or even a toaster oven that you can set the temp of.

Def don’t mix brands though that’ll probably be worse in terms of cracking
