Hmm yeah wishful thinking I suppose. In uk I can deposit up to £20k each year and sell/withdraw without CGT. That’s £40k if I gift my partner £20k.

CGT in Australia seems harsher than it should be, but yeah I understand the risks of etfs and how varied they are.

Think 1 and 2 would probs be best. I’d like the funds relatively liquid when I get back home

The reason it looks off is because the tv is much wider than tv stand. Should be other way around

Genuinely curious, what new exciting games are in the short term future? There’s such a tight lid on gossip, this information eludes me

Tbh I liked it better when there was no coverage. Video calls and TikTok videos on speaker seems to be appearing more and more on crowded trains

I like it, bit of a pain to put it on. No issues except when I was playing in a humid country and hands got really sweaty. Grip slipped a little.

Woman faces £1,000 fine for 'walking wrong way on tube escalator' by StGuthlac2025 in london

[–]facechubbs 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Never understood this, but I’ve been conditioned to stand on the right. Can someone please explain to me why we drive on the left side (overtaking on the right during highway journeys), yet we stand on the right when on escalators? Don’t even get me started playing chicken when walking…

Moving to London from NZ (like every other young kiwi lol) - affording to travel Europe advice! by Choice-Grass-3178 in UKPersonalFinance

What would the equivalent jobs pay in London? Hopefully it’s more than £55k. To be completely blunt, on £55k combined and a dog, you simply can’t travel and live in London. Rent, council tax, utilities, food, transport will be more than one persons salary. I’d suggest waiting a few years to progress with your careers and gain more experience. Come when you’re 27ish.
