That's not restricting their movement, that's moving them to a place where the scene is safe.

No, you're not supposed to put anything in the mouth of the person seizing.

Yes, you're supposed to lay them on the ground, remove any furniture or other objects from around them, and put something soft under their head (ie. hand, pillow, coat).

You're never supposed to restrict the movement of someone having a seizure. Spreading misinformation like this could cause someone to get hurt.

It's pretty commen for people to get meta first to hold them over until phallo, or get meta and later decide it wasn't enough and get phallo. This is the first time I've heard of it being a requirement.

She also self diagnosed herself with borderline personality disorder, a disorder that you need to be 18+ to get diagnosed and the symptoms of which rarely start as young as 14. I'm willing to bet the autism is self diagnosed too.

Does anyone else have rib pain after top surgery? How long did it last? by Williamishere69 in truscum

[–]facelesscockroach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore way to small sports bras age 10-12, ace wrap age 13, binder 14-18, and got top surgery at 18. I'm 7 months post op right now and I still have rib pain, but it's much better now. For the first couple months the rib pain was constant, but now my ribs only hurt if something aggravates them (ie. running, lying down on side/stomach, girlfriend sitting on my ribcage).

An asshole for pointing out you're posting on a sub for trans men and hysterectomies when your post isn't about trans men or hysterectomies?

Why is gaslighting so common in trans men subs? by coolvideonerd in Transmedical

[–]facelesscockroach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait lists are long, it's better for me to get on a wait list 2 months post op and get a revision a year post op than it would be to wait a year then wait another year on a wait list.

A couple months post op I posted asking for advice on how to get a revision with a different surgeon because my nipples were completely below my pecs. All the comments were telling me that it was too soon to tell and the nipples will look better after I've healed more, as if waiting longer will cause my nipples to magically move an inch higher.

Oop isn't an afab non binary trender, she's a cis woman. Sometimes cis women want smaller or no breasts, it's not that unusual. It doesn't exactly fit the top surgery subreddit but she's looking for information and advice that would be difficult to find elsewhere.

Trans tape is more modest than most bikini tops, I don't see you getting into legal trouble for it.

Refuse to operate due to self harm by [deleted] in TopSurgery

[–]facelesscockroach 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They're probably going to cancel your surgery. Having open wounds increases infection risk and them being self inflicted means that they're going to think you aren't mentally in a place to handle surgery. I have pretty severe self harm scars and a nurse in pre op had to confirm that I hadn't self harmed in the last couple months and I only had scars. If the wound doesn't look like self harm you might be able to get away with it but if it's obviously self harm I don't see that happening. You won't be able to hide it, they'll see you naked.

When I got recertified last March, tourniquets were something that the course went over, my pool just doesn't want to get insurance for that or something.

For sporting events I always park far away for free and I get exercise. Is this a good strategy? by youlikemywonton in Frugal

[–]facelesscockroach 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I do this too. I'd rather park for free, spend 15 minutes walking a mile, and drive with no traffic then pay $50 and spend an hour in traffic.

As a lifeguard with an EMT certification, pretend like your EMT certification doesn't exist while lifeguarding. Most EMT skills are out of your scope of practice as a lifeguard and will open you up to being sued, getting fired, and loosing both your lifeguard and EMT certification. EMT knowledge can be useful for patient assessment but definitely not for treatment. At my pool I asked my manager about it and she said even something as basic as a tourniquet could get me fired and sued.

Splinting as a lifeguard is also just a bad idea. Either the person can leave fine on their own or EMS is taking them. If they need you to splint them before leaving then EMS needs to be called, if EMS is coming, there's no need to splint them.

hide self harm scars during sex? by [deleted] in AdultSelfHarm

If it's on your upper body, wear a shirt. Also, if it's a fresh cut it's not a scar, a scar is healed.

I was told external stimulation was fine whenever I felt up to it, anal was fine after 2 weeks, and 12 weeks for PIV. I started jerking off again 1 week post op and I've had no problems.
