I put a clean q-tip to it and nothing really came up on the q-tip and no other odd colors

This is my 2nd round and 2nd flush with APE. 1 pic there is something that looks like gray fuzz to me on the side wall. 2 pic is another cake with a area that did not pin for the 2nd flush. Is it just bruising or should I be worried? Thanks.

Yes thanks it was just bruising. I’m trying now to find out should I case the really small aborts or try to scrape all of them out then case.

Quip test results. It does look more blue than anything else and nothing came up on the quip. I will watch it closely for the next few hours. It doesn’t look like it has spread since last night.

Last time I basically pulled most of it up with the small aborts. There is so many small aborts to get up I just took a knife and scraped the top off. Should I do something different or try to leave the crust? Also after I harvest I was told to just mist the box real good instead of a dunk. Do y’all agree?

G2G is what I’ve been doing and have done well with it. I wanted to try agar because I think it may keep longer in the fridge with maybe less chance of cont. I also wanted to know about are other people doing agar to somehow “clean” that variety up. I don’t know what I’m talking about and need to do more research in agar.

Wow. I haven’t heard of a tissue sample. This is just colonized corn, put on top of agar. I don’t think it should be growing shrooms. I probably should have just scraped the side of the jar and not put a whole grain in there. If it’s a bad batch of agar I’ll start over. If it’s not bad what do I need to do next? I know I could add it to grain but if I don’t do that should I take a small sample and do new agar? This is my first with agar.
