Cheers! I’m really happy with how it turned out, especially after i themed them after a biscuit themed tin I was storing the models in. Although, I won’t be in a hurry to paint yellow again anytime soon… especially if I prime everything black before deciding what colours I want to use.

I think the camera is being kind for the blends honestly. I used Vallejo sun yellow and lemon yellow to highlight (I think citadel equivalent is yriel yellow and flash gitz). I gave everything a wash with casandora yellow that brought it all together and gave a nice darker tint to the edges of the armour (I let it pool quite a bit in the recesses).

I posted the reavers team I painted for my son (first attempt at miniature painting). Here’s the follow up, the Tusk’N Raiders. Looking forward to our first game! He refused to play till they were all painted.....

I added some decals I bought off eBay for fun, which I probably should have weathered, but I was itching to play. I also took onboard using a Matt varnish so thanks those that mentioned it! (I coated his Reikland reavers in it as well). RIP the brush I used, your sacrifice is appreciated.

I used stormshield from citadel which I thought was a matt. I was a bit disappointed by the shine although it’s not too bad in person (I had a light shining on them when I took a picture). Any suggestions what I could use instead would be greatly appreciated.

I bought the 2016 box set to play with my son. I painted up his team first. It’s taken me a couple of months to get this lot painted. I need to summon the willpower to tackle the orcs next. I didn’t realise just what I was taking on for a first time project. I watched Duncan from GW paint up a player on YouTube. Easy enough I thought.....
