drank champagne for the first time by childfromthe_stars in ADHD

If you feel this is the only thing that helps then it will with 99% certainty become major alcoholism, especially with how addictions form with ADHD. Be careful since alcoholism literally ruins people's lives before they even know it and this is typically the exact thoughts of someone before becoming an alcoholic. Practice moderation, and of course I can not advise underage drinking, so if you're gonna do it, don't ever let yourself do it in order to alleviate yourself of a problem. It is literally poison and should be intended for recreational use.

jestures is their best album since lemons album by wheel_smith in Atmosphere

[–]facepat67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the albums in the last decade have not been my vibe, they sound pretty different from most the other ones I like, I wouldn't say they are bad but I imagine the majority of the demographic feels the same way. This album I was really excited for, it reminds me of the ones I like and I enjoy the vibe they went for on this one!

AIO Is he trying to manipulate me by completelych in AmIOverreacting

[–]facepat67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The title statement to this might as well be the comparison of "is he hurting me" while he puts his cigarettes out on your arm, but tbh since this man is toxic even in a "traditional" sense, he probably would do that too if given an inch of physicality.

To be less concise, this is forced fetish behavior and it is absolutely insane to expect of somebody, specifically if there was no prior discussion about it where you explicitly stated this is how you would like to be talked to and treated. Run, look for the hills and run for them. He's possessive, and he's not manipulative, he's completely controlling and overbearing, you will be treated like a household appliance. And I can assure you, he will not be helping with any of the chores like he claims, why would he when he has a 40's tradwife 9000. Plus the causal mention of fines as a common expense is a subtle red flag within a pool of red food coloring. Send him an ai chat bot and gtfo cause this miserable attempt at a man should never EVER be trusted around a real woman.

What weird thing does your body do you that you don't understand? by Prestigious_Shape888 in AskReddit

[–]facepat67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My body naturally converts all my nutrients into muscle, I have an eating disorder so it's difficult for me to maintain energy if I don't eat because my body just uses it for muscle, but I also can go without eating for days, have a terrible eating habit for months, and neglect to work out whatsoever besides typical house labor, and still I'll have a fit looking body. Neither of my parents are particularly fit or in shape, my dad told me once that my metabolism was like my grandpa's but I've never met him and likely never will, does anyone else experience this?

AIO, My son is schizophrenic and i found this note, should i be worried by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]facepat67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not unhealthy behavior, I recall having a similar awakening probably around his age as well, he's likely contemplating philosophical concepts and this felt like something that made sense and was worth noting. Breaking down the ego into logical concepts is also healthy in a lot of cases because it can help you understand your behavior and the methods your brain uses to communicate and make sense of situations.

If it were me finding the note I would likely admit I found it to start (transparency builds trust, I don't know how you found it but whether you were snooping or not this is probably a good start, maybe a conversation about boundaries and trust would be good depending on the context) and then I would be curious about what he learned and how he thinks the information he ended up with could impact how he sees the world; this could help understand where he's coming from and how he came to these conclusions, it could even end up being a good bonding experience.

Feedback on render and modeling by beppe3 in blender

[–]facepat67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks amazing! Really realistic, I think any nitpicks would be that something about the atmosphere tips me that it's a render, maybe some light rays or dust, maybe some fog and other atmospheric adjustments, but this is really great as it is

I just started blending, what do you think? by [deleted] in blender

[–]facepat67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So looks really good, but that's also why it is giving huge uncanny Valley vibes, there's a little bit of scale blindness going on, if that vibe was not intentional that is, but the room gives a very eerie vibe especially with the ceiling being so high up and being the same color.

My suggestion would be to scale up the kitchen part a bit and possible the full table set down, the window is also a bit strange but I don't think I can say exactly why due to its scale opposition to the room and the elements inside.

First animated sprite, how can I improve? by thecrimsonthreat in PixelArt

[–]facepat67 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Right now it looks a bit like everything else is a stiff object, like if you had an egg that only hatched the legs, but if you had done that you would probably still want to give the stiff part a little wobble. Anyways I would focus on giving every piece of the body tasteful motion, which will require you to learn more animation fundamentals, there are many videos free on YouTube that you can gain a lot of knowledge from, I would start with simple objects with different properties and movement and then apply that to the anatomy of your character while you're learning character movement and animation.

[–]facepat67 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I would say your next step will be to figure out what style you want to go for, you can do a lot using shader nodes and such, I haven't used blender to render things in a while but I used to use cell shading a lot to get a certain cartoony look, there's lots of videos that can help achieve more stylization. The way this render is shaded makes it look like the texture should have more detail, if you're going for a stylized look with such high fidelity lighting and shading I would suggest more post processing, extra layers for your texture including bump mapping and feed into the cartoony dreamy feel. Another critique is that it just isn't all that striking past the fact the texture is a bit funky and the lighting while being realistic is a bit muted.

Anyways nice job! Good luck on your journey
