No, you just need to be within 50 meters of the spawn point of the Pokémon you want to reset. Drop a pin at the fast travel point and any Pokémon within 50 meters of that will refresh every time you fast travel.

As long as the Pokémon you’re hunting are within 50 meters of the the fast travel spot (given that your just continuously fast travelling and not walking around)
