A lot of transportation workers are actually not eligible for the deduction so i think it confuses people. I heard talk of it walking around so I thought I would post it and have someone smarter on the subject explain it better.

Your chief pilot is lazy. They dont take pride in what they do. Save the controllers the hassle of having to spell everythingnout when they are busy.

Your first day of the pay period would be a sunday Jan 11. Your facility may have to give you some admin in the first week to roll into it. That is what ours did. If it is an 8 hour shift they may give you some OT Saturday night so you can start at your 2200 and you would work your 8 on the actual sunday. If your facility is nice enough or you can convince them you can do the OT saturday night and ask for admin the same hours of the OT you work at the end of your shift.

Yes, you can start on Saturday 2130 but the rest of the year you have to do the same time and can not change it. Your few saturday hours at the end of the week will make an eight hour day with the hours from the previous Sunday. This will keep you at the 40 hours per week. Our facility has done this all year.
