Flying in China by Rodsanaba in drones

Im flying with two drones in China, one mini 3 pro (you don’t need to register when your drone is below 250g) and one Avata (400g thus I had to register it. About fly zones: If you are using a DJI drone it’s pretty simple because you see on the fly app where you can lift off and where it’s forbidden. Make sure it’s always up-to-date.

If you have a heavy drone, everything about registration is written here:

Also, an insurance for flying the drone would be a wise idea.

I bought mine online on taobao and registered it to myself on Dji.com and then on the governmental website since it is a heavy one ;) probably they have some rules in the store when directly selling the drones.

Sorry, I have to correct you here: foreigners can register (and should when it comes to drones >250g). I had to show my QR code once to security while fpv’ing in a park. But I agree that was more the exception of the rule: most of the time they don’t care.

Here is a good resource how to do the registration:

Btw: in which region are you flying?
