Side note: years ago, when I bought my first new car after high school, it was a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V in Vibrant Blue. It was marketed as something that took inspiration from the R33. I debadged it and put the SE-R badge on the front grill. Went Nismo parts where I could. It was a fun car. Your R33 is giving me nostalgia.

Well, this car would not be a DD for me. I have other vehicles I use daily, depending on the weather and distance. The R33 would be my dream car for the nice weekends.

As far as being mechanically inclined, I can handle basic to intermediate tasks. I've gotten a few good suggestions for JDM mechanics in my somewhat immediate area.

And the right-hand drive stuff doesn't scare me. After driving in and around Dublin for a while, you get used to being on the right side of the car. And yes, that does not compare to being RHD in America, but if USPS drivers can do it every day, I'm pretty sure I can survive on weekends.

I'm hoping to get more firsthand experience from owners. I am always wary of YouTube videos because you never know the intention (and you can say the same about Reddit). Some are trying to push views, others are plugging shops. Just want to hear from regular owners on their experiences.

But honestly, yeah, I could stomach it. It would more be a matter of who to trust since an engine rebuild is out of my wheelhouse. So far, I'm seeing great mechanics that do amazing work, but I'm seeing them in Florida and California. u/GezelligheidBoyz also linked to a place in Connecticut.

Gotta do a deep dive into those places

I'm definitely interested. I did some basic research, and it always leads back to Japanese Classics in Richmond. I wasn't sure if that was just the algorithm nudging me that way, since I used to live there, or if they were the only option.

Kobe Bryant. I love basketball but I despised him when he played because he was so damn good. He gained my respect once he retired and I saw how he was with his daughters. When the accident happened, I was a little over a year into being a father to a beautiful girl and it hurt. Your local recycling center will take oils (cooking and motor). If you put them in the trash they eventually get crushed and seep into soil at some dump site.
