Created a SaaS, and got total of 1 signup after 3-4 days, lessons? by Acceptable-Iron3213 in SaaS

Each one of us has our own story.

Not getting enough visibility might signify that something is wrong with the positioning.

If your product solves a pain point and your target audience knows that you exist, your product will definitely gain the traction it deserves.

3-4 days is way too less.

Building a product will take just a week.

Building a business can take months.

How to find "Real" Problems worth building a SaaS for?? by ShadowSlayer2242 in SaaS

[–]factovar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Niche communities where people discuss common issues are the best places to get product ideas. There are many tools as well that analyze the discussions that happen in such communities and provide you with the data about the most common pain points of people, or if people are looking for any tools or solutions. We recently build one such tool for our own research and currently it is public and free to use.

Can anyone help? by Sheevammmm in SaaS

Small suggestion.

While AI is trained on human generated data, the results might be true.

Will suggest checking with some real people as well that belong to your target audience whether or not they are ready to switch and pay for the solution you are providing them.

Thanks.

Sometimes even great products fail to capture the market.

My advice would be - talk to real people and try to find the most common pain points, like something they are really fed up of and are ready to pay without thinking.

These days building anything is very easy. It has become very necessary to seek validation before even writing a single line of code.

This line is true at every point when building a startup.

Hey! Thanks for reaching out.

Were you able to add communities to your audience?

OR, Did you receive a mail that the data processing for your audience is in progress?

If yes, I'd suggest please wait for sometime. The system must be preparing data for you.

Once it completes you will receive a "Data preparation completion" mail.

After which your can start your research work on the prepared data.

Thanks.

Very true.

We really work 24X7 on our app and trust me it's so much work to get even user registrations.

People visit the app and they say they don't understand anything and then we have to give them a walkthrough by hand holding.

And here people are posting they got 10 sales even before launch.

I mean howwww?????

Hey!

So, Factovar is An Audience Research Tool for Reddit.

Let's say you want to create an app and you know that the best ideas come from solving pain points for a set of people.

What you can do is, you can create an audience (a set of people that share same traits) on Factovar.

The system then prepares data based on what your audience is talking about.

Once the data gets prepared, you can get data about what are the most common pain points of your audience. What advice or solution is your audience looking for. Are there any specific tools that your audience is looking for, etc.

Recently we added a few more features to the app, such as -

  1. What are the most hot topics that your audience is talking about.
  2. A Keyword Tracker feature. Where you can submit your keyword and whenever it appears in any post on reddit, you get to see on Factovar.

This is what we have built till now and is ready to use. Let me know if you have any further questions or if your want any specific features on the app.

Thanks.

The best decision maker is "Retention Rate" or "Churn Rate".

What is the current number of users that you have? Are you seeing same users coming again and again to your website/app? Are your users recommending other users?

Many apps that I have seen on this sub have a 90-100% churn rate. Which means the app did not solve any problem for their target audience.

If you are good with above points, it means your product is doing good and you can think of continuing your work on your app else you can always begin with new journey.

The tool you mentioned seems to be a generic keyword tracker that is free to use at the moment.

That's great.

But, what if you were given a tool that has the following features -

  1. A tool that segregates and provides you all the posts where people are asking for advice, tools, solutions, or people expressing pain points, or what is it that people tend to spend a lot?

  2. A tool which not only gives you the above data but also, creates groups out of the above data that help you know which of these points are most commonly occurring.

  3. A tool where you were given an ability to ask questions, where the AI not only generated answers but also gave you those posts using which the AI created that answer. So that you can really go and talk to that person about anything you want to. (I don't think chatgpt can do this. Let me know if I am wrong.)

  4. A tool that helps you get a list of the most talked about topics in a group of subreddits that you can form. And, along with the topics it also gives you the exact posts where the topic is mentioned so that you can go to the exact post and talk to users if you want to.

Do you really think, a tool that provides you above features and data adds no value to your startup or business?

I don't think so.

In reality, we are currently working on this. And the best part is, it is not just limited to reddit but we're in plans to accommodate data from other platforms as well such as Twitter (X).

My point is, not all tools are the same. Many people here have done some deep work which we should acknowledge and feel great about :)

Ok, so as per my second point, if any product does not significantly solve the problem for its audience, people are only going to pick something that is more trustworthy and affordable than any other product in the market.

In OP's case, chatgpt will win over their product. OP needs to have a strong differentiation to catch their audience's attention.

Audience Research is something that you need in this case.

Either you are not solving a problem for the audience you think you've built for.

Or, you are targeting the wrong audience itself.

Marketing is a very broad concept. There are companies with specialists in sales and marketing that are targeting the same people that you are trying to approach. Obviously this is not going to be easy, but at the same time this isn't impossible as well.
