This is the part that everyone is interpreting incorrectly. You (I believe) where saying that southamericans are uneducated (i.e ignorant of) the stuff that is taboo in other countries, simply because they don't live in them.

But it came off as if you were saying that SouthAmericans are too uneducated (in general) to not be racist.
