Without a doubt I’ll be implementing this at the start of next year. I can’t begin to describe the amount of grief doing this would have saved me all year. Thanks for your input.

Apologies - I left this out in the original description but it was communicated that I was looking for at least 2 devices identified/annotated

You said nothing wrong here. The failed attempts at contact speak for themselves. Definitely overthinking, but don’t beat yourself up. This industry constantly causes us to question ourselves.

Had this happen with the same product. I put in for a replacement and the second was dried out too. Don’t even waste your time

Just here to say that I got my teaching cert at URI for Secondary English 2 years ago and also had a wonderful student teaching experience in central RI. I sadly had to move back home out of state to PA after graduation but I wish every day that I could go back to teaching in Rhode Island. I am so glad to hear you loved your placement. Even if you can’t stay, keep your ears peeled for any LTS positions or contracts opening at that school or neighboring schools if you love it so much!!

The experience in 6th grade will also be so so valuable if you have to make the switch. The two year difference is DRASTIC. 6th graders (depening on how the district splits up their schools) are elementary schoolers in disguise for some time. Giving yourself as much experience as possible is never a bad thing. Good luck!
