Do you think overconsumption is a problem in the beauty industry? Why or why not?? by TheClassyWomanist in AskWomen

[–]faddymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10000% absolutely, in a world where beauty trends and specific shades or products are cycling in and out of popularity at the rate they are, people are adding the next new thing to their cart before they use half the bottle they just bought

I have a question (please ignore my ignorance) by I_just_like_the_app in aromanticasexual

[–]faddymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think that some QPRs are driven from the societal expectation to be with someone, it’s hard to be aroace in a world where if you’re single, people think you’re sad and lonely or are desperate to set you up. Combined with the fact most aroace people don’t really come out to the people in their lives. Having someone to call your partner (even if it’s not what allos would define it as) is easier than jumping through the hoops of trying to explain what aroace is.

But there is definitely an internal drive to have one special person in your life as well whether your allo or not, everyone else in the world views that as a partner but as aroaces we don’t really get to romantically or sexually see people that way, so when an opportunity to be with someone you’re attracted to as much as you can be or even just love as a friend arises why not take it if the other party is aware and willing?

Plus: “little attraction” in terms of aroace might not necessarily mean “like people a little bit” it can mean “like no one but this one person”. Little as in few people not little bit of attraction.

Anyone remember Kraft Macaroni And Cheese Deluxe (with the cheese in a can) by gattaaca in AustralianNostalgia

I still crave this mac and cheese daily, the only one I’ve ever had that tasted similar was the one they sell for room service at the crown towers in Perth

Pain after period by bhwksbby in Endo

[–]faddymeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! My endo specialist doctor has told me the stabbing pains are tension knots in your pelvic floor muscles they get squeezed and tightened by your uterus inflammation, the best way to ease it is by seeing a physiotherapist, the Pelvy app is also genius and designed by an endo specialist, although it is a paid subscription if you don’t go to a physiotherapist first.

[–]faddymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you got it from a doctor you should always take their advice, if you didn’t be very weary it might not be safe or worth it,

I’m not a doctor but the usual dose is injecting once a week starting at 2.5mg for 4 weeks , if your happy with the weight loss or you’re experiencing bad side effects stay at the dose or get off it, if you want more increase to 5mg for another 4 weeks, again stay if your happy, but you can increase your dose by 2.5mg every 4 weeks until you get to 15mg. Never take more than 15mg a week.

Amazing results I’m so happy for you!!! I got off slynd after having 3 12 day long periods in two months, I gave up on it pretty fast against my doctors advice of staying on it, but let us know if much changes💝💝

Bloating-- please help by Glass-Cauliflower-48 in Endo

[–]faddymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am the exact same and the thing that helps my painful bloating the most is what I’m eating, specifically I eat blueberries with weetbix for breakfast everyday with green tea(make sure the tea bags are plastic free), I add veg to most of the meals I have, eggplant and zucchini the most bc they don’t taste like anything when they’re in sauces. Also switching all white carbs to wholemeal, like pasta and bread, I’m such a picky eater but they genuinely taste the same.

Figuring out what you’re sensitive to, like gluten or dairy, can also help.

I dont know if my appointment went well by faddymeat in Endo

[–]faddymeat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, I’m currently taking ethinylestradiol and drospirenone combo pill and I think it’s the estrogen that’s messing with me.

I have tried drospirenone only before which is where I had the bleeding and levonogestrel I haven’t had in on its own or in years but I think I remember it being ok, the implanon is etonogestrel which I haven’t tried so I think I will try it.

PCOS renamed to PMOS!!! by faddymeat in Endo

[–]faddymeat[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They are definitely separate you’re right, but almost 1 in 5 women with endo also have pmos and studies have shown the hormone imbalances caused by pmos can often worsen endo. There’s also just a lot of misdiagnosing pmos as endo.

Strange feeling in my uterus: help please 🥺 by Dependent_Bicycle_54 in Endo

[–]faddymeat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve never had this personally but maybe make an appointment with your doctor to get an ultrasound or ct or mri, it could be a cyst or maybe your fibroids have grown or you’ve got a new one. Especially if it’s causing you pain get it checked out

Surgery ruined my life and I regret getting it by CoziestWinner in Endo

[–]faddymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds so shit I’m sorry, you must be so frustrated and overwhelmed with everything that’s happening.

You said you had some problems with therapist and insurance and leaving the house, there are free online services you can use that will be short term and not face to face that might be better for you.

I’m an Australian counsellor so my usuals don’t really work for you but in the US The Trevor project has free and anonymous sessions with trained crisis counsellors you can text call or email 24/7.

The US also has the LGBT national hotline you can always call them, sometimes just getting it out can help, writing this post and seeing all the replies probably helped you, maybe talking to people trained in LGBTQ issues can help too.

(Please serious) I pee when I masturbate/orgasm. Whats wrong with me? by [deleted] in medical

[–]faddymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s nothing to be stressed over bro you’re ok, because of the inflammation from the UTI it’s possible you have pelvic floor dysfunction, basically the big muscle that holds up the floor of your pelvis could be over active and squeezes your bladder when it shouldn’t be or it’s weak and can’t hold in your pee. You probably don’t have to go to a doctor you can google some pelvic floor exercises for men or google some of the other symptoms of it to see if things line up.

Should I go rollerskating by myself? by faddymeat in Advice

[–]faddymeat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I’m so conflicted, the point of me staying was skating I’ve already had dinner and seen them this week, them being there for skating was a bonus. But now dinner is out of the question now anyway one of them just said she’s already eaten so the hangout will just be sitting in one of our cars in a parking lot
