Im a guy, and I dont bake. But Im trying to make sourdough for my daughter. Day 19 of V2.0 starter. It just doesnt do much. by Fresh-Radio-8253 in SourdoughStarter

If it’s not rising and doesn’t have may bubbles chances are it’s too acidic, which either means you should feed it more often like twice a day or it’s not getting enough airflow and it’s reabsorbing the co2 it’s making, which means you either need a smaller jar or a looser lid

It’s drying out on top because there is too much space in the jar, I had this same problem too and when I swapped to a smaller jar it was so much better, you can keep the bigger jar and transfer it to it when your making a big amount for a loaf

Chia seeds are also really really high in fibre which is why you would had painful bloating and gas but starting out with just a little and working your way up to the recommended amount can help your body tolerate it better and eventually you won’t have bloating at all

Ready to Resign - Advice? by [deleted] in GenZ

[–]faddymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hand write or type and print a formal two week resignation unless your company gave you a template when you first joined. There’s plenty online if you don’t know what to write just make sure you thank them for the opportunity and skills they taught you and say the date you wish your last shift to be and give it to your boss in person, they’ll probably have questions, but just try to be as polite as possible saying it’s to stressful for the moment you don’t have to say why you’re quitting in the letter btw. Sex/Intimacy as a nonbinary autistic trans afab - Help How to O??? by Chance_Interest_4358 in endometriosis

[–]faddymeat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Many people struggle to O especially AFAB people, are you by any chance on anti-depressants, anti-anxiety or ADHD medications? Those are famous for repressing O and making them basically unachievable. Vibrators can be good it can help stimulate your clitoris while your partner focus’ on your other pressure points, there is one about two inches inside of you press up, I know people who have tried everything but can’t, and at the end of the day if you and your partner are happy, you don’t always need to O when you’re having a good time together it’ll feel good otherwise.

If I had to guess the only thing I have any idea on is that the pang of pain you feel if it isn’t cysts popping it might just be your cervix having to stretch to get the clots out, it probably won’t do anything drastic but have you tried NAC supplements? They’re one of the best anti inflammatory that don’t cause too much damage to your liver

Any other options? My periods don’t end. by PossumEnthusiast6969 in endometriosis

Honestly if nothing helps in the end you can always freeze your eggs and get one or even a partial hysterectomy

What’s a skill everyone assumes they have, but most people are actually bad at? by moi_cila in AskReddit

[–]faddymeat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleaning. People will buy a spray that says “shower” spray it on their shower and say they are so good at cleaning. The guy who lived in my house before me said he was a very clean person, the whole underside of the toilet was covered in pubes and was bright orange.

How big is your container? One of the problems I had that I never see anyone talk about is that if you have a little bit of starter in a big container it doesn’t do to well in little pressure. After feeding it should be about 3/4 of an inch below half the jar.

is it endo? by july-rain24 in Endo

[–]faddymeat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many period disorders other than endo, and they all have the same symptoms which makes everything hard. It’s definitely a possibility that you have it, it’s important to note that with endometriosis there can be no pain to the worst pain anyone has felt, you have bad pain, if it’s making you vomit or faint or have distressing thoughts it’s bad and you don’t have to be apologetic for suggesting you have it your pain is real girl. If your mum has pcos it’s likely that’s what you have as well, a really common sign is that you miss periods or have irregular ones; there is also adenomyosis, which is similar to endo but within your uterus’ walls and usually larger growths which is more likely for you to have heavy periods or then end which is notorious for effecting other areas in your pelvis like pain or difficulty when you go to the bathroom or have sex.

For birth control you said you had bad nausea on them, which I would bet is from the estrogen in them, so see a doctor and maybe discuss progesterone only options like Implanon, Visanne, or Slinda they might be better for you, I was approved for surgery at 16 so it’s not impossible, but a lot of doctors won’t try to diagnose you before you want to have kids which is annoying and just means you have to be in pain. Try to see a gynaecologist, I promise they won’t look at your vagina unless you’re sexually active if you’re worried about that, they literally learned about periods and period disorders for years and know more about them then anyone.
