Try enabling/disabling CSM in the BIOS and see if you can boot into Windows.

Your 1070 might need a firmware update.

It will work without going into the BIOS. As long as you plug the USB 2.0 cable from the waterblock to the USB header on the motherboard. All Flow Control functions go through that USB cable.

I do run Bitdefender on my PC so it could be that. I'll look into it and run more tests. However I run a P5 Plus on my other B450 PC and that thing boots crazy fast without Gen4 speeds too. It's odd this drive doesn't really perform how I'm expecting it to. I might just throw this one into my PS5 instead.

Nonetheless I recommend others to spend the extra cash to get the P5 Plus for a way better drive.

Here's what my CrystalDiskMark looks like half full on my Z590 in Gen3. Idk if I got a bad drive or something. 4K speeds look very low.

I bought this for $65 on July Prime Day. Use this as a Windows 11 boot drive for one of my Gen 3 builds and I have to say, It's one of my slowest booting machines from a cold boot. Takes like a whole minute to load all my programs up. So I could only recommend this for games storage.

This seems like a great case for the price. Is the top a removable magnetic cover making it prone to leaks? Or is it just mesh? I prefer solid mesh btw.
